This is a place to go for the incredible meals. The chef is passionate about quality Japanese cuisine. I recommend enjoying a meal there even if you don't stay in the hotel, which is quirky but clean and comfortable. You can also get a very hearty breakfast to start the day with. Wonderful hospitality.

Hotel Fuki no Mori ligger 10 minutters kjøring fra Nagiso jernbanestasjon med hotellets gratistransport. Her kan du ta spaserturer i hagen eller i de naturskjønne omgivelsene rundt hotellet. A beautiful luxury hotel set in forest outside Tsumago, with hotel shuttle bus access. Everything was perfect- from the warm welcome, being conducted to our room, shown the onsen and dining room, where breakfast and dinner were exceptional (in Keisei style and well worth the additional charge). It was a most relaxing stay after our Magome to Tsumago walk- 6 hours in drenching rain- but still very beautiful to be again on this marvellous walk.

A 7-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Yorozuya features hot spring baths, a hot tub and Japanese-style rooms with a private terrace and private bathroom. Everything was great, the service was very delicate, it made us feel very comfortable. This was a fabulous experience.

Situated just a 5-minute walk from historic Togakushi Shrine, Oshi Ryokan is traditional lodging accommodation in the peaceful mountain area, which used to cater for pilgrims. The warm hospitality conveyed by Oshi san and wife, delicious and priceless home cooked meals and the serenity of the surroundings. its basically a quaint village up the mountainside. Even the soba shops in the area serve food from the heart - the quality and quantity of ingredients served is way different from the towns!

Only a 10-minute drive from Snow Monkey Park, Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya offers simple Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi. Good room, warm atmosphere There is a free onsen on site.

A 3-minute walk from Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Kadowakikan features ski-to-door access, a hot spring bath and free WiFi. Mr. Kadowakikan was super friendly and helpful. He picked us up and dropped us off at the shuttle bus stop. He helped us order rental ski/snowboard equipment to the hotel. The hotel's own onsen was very clean and more comfortable than the town's free onsens.

A 5-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Tawaraya offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. The staff was outstanding. They were kind, helpful, and in every way what one can hope for at a Ryokan.
