“The many hotels and resorts in this beautiful region are catering to mainly Thai tourists.
Apparently the dry season is the season to get work done and so, like most others, this little resort was nearly empty; which we actually liked!
The Demena Cafe however drew many daytime clients, who come in for coffee, cake and shakes while admiring the rural landscape.
Along with a waterbuffalo, a bunch of small dogs live here, who at times make a raucous for percieved intrusions of their territory.
They are all friendly to people though, so we did not mind.
We stayed 6 nights in one of the lovely wooden huts to enjoy the piece and quiet.
You'll need some kind of transport to explore; we rented a scooter from the resort and scooted about!
Restaurants, markets and supermarkets are nearby, along the main road.
