Methos Homestay - Raja Ampat Review score: 9

“The location of Methos Homestay is superb, exactly as shown in the photos. The homestay is beautiful, and the opportunity to snorkel in the house reef was fantastic; we even spotted dolphins from our veranda! A small village is within walking distance, offering a place to purchase drinks. Besides that, the area is peaceful. We went diving with Tarzan Diving, and the staff at Methos organised our transfers and provided lunch boxes, making the experience seamless. The trips they offer are also highly recommended.”

“It was a very pleasant stay. The family was very friendly. The hut over the water was big and comfortable and from the terasse we could watch sunset and the fish in the water. The Wi-Fi was one of the best we had in Raja Ampat. The food was delicious and with variation, despite the isolation of the island. Herman was very helpful with planning of the snorkelling and diving trips.”

“Excellent location, very peaceful on a small, quiet island. The staff and owners were brilliant, the food was good and the excursions available every day meant you could choose to chill on the island or head out to snorkel/dive in the day and see the beauty of the area. The diving was incredible, Like and Spaniel were great guides on all the dives and Matteo a great captain. They made every day a really fun experience.”

“The hotel is conveniently close to the airport, and they offer airport transfers for 100k. The rooms match the photos, though we did encounter some stains on our linen. After we complained, they promptly changed it. Breakfast starts early, which is great for catching early flights.”
