“Friendly staff, I was a bit nervous about not speaking the local language, but it was fine.
Traditional character and charm of hotel
Amazing balcony.”
“For access Brig Bahnhoffplatz, you'd struggle to find anything this convenient and at this price point. Breakfast is in a spacious room on the 2nd floor affording views over the activities of the railways next door. Staff too are wonderful and incredibly welcoming anf helpful.”
“The Adaastra Boutique Hotel offers a curious blend of futuristic check-in processes and traditional comfort. First things first: the automated check-in process needs a spotlight warning when you book. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a bit of modern efficiency, but after a long journey, the last thing you want is to wrestle with a temperamental machine. You’re expected to input your reservation number, personal details, and then hope the machine graciously decides to issue your room card. My own battle with this digital beast ate up 30 painstaking minutes - far from a warm welcome.
Despite the rocky start, the hotel does redeem itself once you step past the lobby. The interior of the elevator and the room itself present a stark contrast to the frustrating tech. I was genuinely impressed by the meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful color palette that greeted me—this isn’t your run-of-the-mill, cookie-cutter hotel room but a sanctuary of high quality and taste.
I appreciated the exceptional quality beer from a private brewery in the area available in the room - an interesting regional feature.”
“The walk from the cable car station along the panorama trail with amazing mountain views takes approximately 25-30 minutes. There are many walking and skiing trails available around. You can have dinner a la carte at the hotel (there are not many other options in the village). Peaceful and quiet.
We had a double room in the attic with a tiny window and two comfortable beds joined. The bathroom was small, but clean. Your luggage can be delivered from the cable car to the hotel, if you book in advance.”
“Everything!
- Communication from the staff.
- Monique and the other staff who helped to store our luggage before our check-in time.
- Room, washroom and amenities.
- Outdoor balcony overlooking a beautiful castle and the mountains!
- An easy 10-minute walk to/from the main train station.
- The kind lady who offered to pack up our breakfast since we decided not to eat as we were in a rush to catch our morning train ❤️
I'm glad I found this property. Very underrated. I'd love to stay here again for a few days the next time I visit Switzerland.”
“The staff was so friendly and helpful. The bike parking helped keep our bikes safe. The breakfast was perfect for a fresh start. The location is tranquil. The walk to the restaurant is easy.”
