  “Nice hotel in a great location, right in the city centre with easy walk to the train station. My room was very cozy with a nice view and comfortable bed and bathroom with spacious shower. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed coffee for breakfast - great quality!”

We ate at the hotel on one evening and the food was great. Great quality, very tasty and good portion sizes. The staff I encountered were all lovely and very helpful. I would happily return,”

  “The house staff were friendly and informative. The property itself is dated but it is very well maintained and the room was quiet and comfortable. I chose to stay in one of the larger rooms facing the rear courtyard and it was as billed - quiet. I stayed another two nights!”

  “This hotel is located in the old town of Appenzell. It’s a short level stroll from the train station. My bed was very comfortable & the bedroom had traditional paintings & features which added to the charm. I found the staff to be welcoming & helpful. The breakfast was delicious & a great start to the day. I was really, really happy that they were able to provide some extra gluten free products for me as I am a coeliac. I stayed two nights here & thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The property is exactly as described on the website.”
