  • Nomada Hostel Review score: 10

“Super chilled hostel with beautiful and calm garden. The whole hostel is a social project worth to support, running by amazing warm hearted and fun people. There is a well equipped kitchen, a bar, coffee, water, hammocks, a guitar and always good music. They are offering great tours, tattoos, laundry service and are cleaning every day. It's in a calm area, you can still walk to the center or take a tuktuk for 6.000cop. Highly recommended!”

  • Hotel Karupa Amazonas Review score: 9

“They took really good care, when there was no bottled water they went out in the middle of the night to get it. It was a nice chilling place, the music was kept down to the minimum. I got all the info I needed on how to get around. The bus was particularly useful to get to town. There was a lovely natural pool of water few hundred meters away and there were other places within easy reach to swim.”

  • “I think this hostel's outside facilities are better than any I've seen in a hostel or hotel - four hammocks, an outside bar and a gorgeous pool. Beautiful! And really friendly staff. (They sorted me out a bottom bunk and a place to store my luggage when I went off for a few days). It's well situated not far from the Parokeet Square , the banks and the ethnographic museum. Breakfast is eggs, fruit and bread, personally prepared when you arrive!”

  • Biohotel Arara River Review score: 10

“The design, the location, staff's engagement to protect nature, and the tours were great. Food was good”

  • LETICIAS GUEST HOUSE Review score: 10

“Leticias Guest House served as a great base from where to explore Amazonas, and doubly more so for us non-Spanish speakers. If coming to Amazonas, I would book them first and then plan the rest of trip in location. The hostess and her son were very friendly and spoke excellent English - and were always available to help out planning my activities. Through the Guest House, I got a customized and authentic two-day trip to the rainforest with an interpreter with me, and with a very good price. I also really loved the food the Guest House offered. Ate breakfast every morning and a customized supper. Location was nicely next to the Santander park and easily within the walking distance from the port. When I left, I walked to the airport which was a nice 15-minute trek. I initially only stayed 1 night, but ended up coming back for the rest of the trip.”

  • La Jangada Hostel & Tours Review score: 8

“The spot is just amazing. The family is kind and do everything to make your stay comfortable. I was supposed to stay for a single night but the hostel suggested a tour with a guide, Daniel, a citizen of the San Pedro community. I spent 2 nights in the forest and one in his community. One of the best experiences I had. Thanks a lot to the volunteers who were really helpful. Thanks to all the team.”

  • Eware Refugio Amazonico Review score: 9
