“Our favorite stay in the whole world. This place is out of this world. 💗 We were amazed by the love that this place vibrates. From the restauration of the house, to the decorations, the mountains around it all the way to the super lovely neighbors. If you are looking for a beautiful place, remote in nature where you will be the only tourists...this place is for you!!!”

“Very kind owner. Nicely old private house. We got lots of advise on restaurants and hiking trails. Breakfast with eggs from his own chickens. We got breakfast even earlier on one day for our whale watching tour.”

The absolute highlight of this place was the terrace that overlooks the valley, the most wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee or evening drink. We also appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and very spacious bathroom. This is the perfect place for a budget-conscious traveler who explores the island with a car.”

“The room is in a very nice house in Povoação. Everything was very clean and with great facilities. There's free parking on the street, right in front of the house. Miguel, the host, is very welcoming and helpful.”

Laika and Gaspar were amazing companions and always ready to greet us <3 Breakfast was delicious and there were always a home-baked goods.”

“Never judge from first impressions! It's kind of cliché but I can't find anything more appropriate to express my staying at Rodrigo. My very first looks at the accommodation were kind of preoccupied because of the "history" of the building itself but when once I shrugged my wrong feelings off, I could finally embrace the pure essence of what Rodrigo - at least in my opinion - is trying to make his guest experience. To him, my best wishes and I wish everyone to book at "Casa da Lomba do Cavaleiro" if they want to try something with a real soul”
