Rather expensive compared to other places we stayed in around Lofoten islands, especially given that it was for a compact room with a shared bathroom, but perhaps that's ascribed to a more touristic location (due to proximity to Reine).

Very friendly host, well-equipped kitchen, the shared space looks great. Short walk from the bus station and short ride from Reine and Moskenes ferry quay.

The room is pretty small - we were struggling to fit our 2 suitcases in the room. I'd suggest moving the big drawers outside of the room to clear some space for that.

Location is fantastic, and the house itself has a huge kitchen and living space to eat and relax, with several bathrooms all clean and well-equipped. The owners are also very nice and welcoming.

I recently stayed at Rate Lofoten Planet BaseCamp for a two-night getaway, and it was a memorable experience. The location was absolutely stunning, nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Lofoten. The cozy accommodations and friendly staff made me feel right at home.

Super homey and cozy, has great common spaces while rooms are private and quiet. Great location!! Close to plenty of incredible hikes. We watched the best sunrise just from the window of our room. The room was beautifully designed and very clean. Agata had a private dinner going on so she generously upgraded us to a room with private kitchen and bathroom. Wish we stayed for another night or two, could easily spend a whole week there(:

Everything except the weather !😁 Beautifully presented & modern interior full of light & tastefully coloured, good quality decor. All appliances throughout kitchen & bathrooms are also of high quality. Everything a traveller would need for a pleasant & comfortable stay. Well located, quiet & lovely views from windows. Hostess friendly & accessible if needed (though everything worked well anyway). A pity that we had to keep moving & couldn't stay an extra day or two to appreciate better weather in such a lovely place.

The local bus schedule is quite limited (especially during weekends), so I would recommend that you plan to have a car rental during your stay, though this has nothing to do with this property specifically. Some of the bedrooms are a bit on the smaller side but the bed frames have extra storage under each side of the bed where you can store a full-size suitcase to reduce floor clutter, which we found very useful.

Agata, one of the owners at Lofoten Planet Basecamp, was wonderfully helpful and very responsive to all of our questions during our stay. My wife and I initially arrived via ferry and then the local bus, but quickly realized that we would benefit from having a rental car to improve our flexibility in exploring the Lofoten area. The views from the property are amazing! Several trekking trails are located very close to the property, so no driving to the trailhead is required. There are two small grocery stores and a few restaurants within a short walking distance. The property itself was very clean including the common areas (shared kitchen and bathrooms). We really enjoyed that the owners requested no shoes to be worn inside the property, which definitely helps to keep the floors clean. There is a washing machine provided for guest use and laundry detergent was complimentary (it's so nice to not have to go purchase an entire box of detergent for just one load). The beds and pillows were very comfortable! Ground coffee was provided with a coffee machine in the shared kitchen. Private parking is available on-site. We would absolutely stay here again if we're in the area. Loved our stay!

Best accommodation that I had in a long time. The host, Agata, is very welcoming, helpful and makes you feel at home and treats you as if you are the only guest. The Building is very clean, comfy and beautiful and you notice the love, that the owners poured in every detail. My first choice definitely, when l'm visiting Lofoten next time

Great experience and nice location by the lake. Small but very nice rooms. The shared bathrooms were very good standard. Livingroom and kitchen was also very nice and it never felt crowded. Shops, café and restaurant within a short walk. Petr in the reception gave great tips and thanks to him we also got the oppurtunity to see orcas for the first time. Will definitely return if i'll have the chance!
