To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

GermanyEach room has its own bathroom. However, the bathrooms are not directly located in the room. You need to cross the hallway to get to them. However, it is not a big deal considering the overall great value the place offers.
The property is great located. It is a calm neighbourhood. The train station is nearby. The rooms and bathroom are clean. Additionally, it has a nice small garden inside where you can relax. The host is also very helpful if you need any information or recomendations.

New ZealandCan be a little echoey with voices and kitchen activities from time to time, but not a problem.
Absolutely lovely host - Diana went out of her way to help with all matter. Nice clean place, great location and away from road noise. Great wee garden out the back that we had breakfast in. She keeps the place very secure too. Close to shops, metro and restaurants ...... less than 5 minutes away.

United States of AmericaCasa Esencia combines the comforts of being at home and the convenience and niceties of being at a hotel. I stayed with my mom for four nights. The breakfasts were delicious and the whole stay was restful and peaceful. Diana is kind and welcoming and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. I would definitely stay there again!

The house is located in a pleasant, safe neighborhood that's a 5 minute walk to the metro station. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast served by the back garden was very pleasant. Diana was a very considerate and pleasant host.

CanadaThe one bed in the Family room was very hard and a little too short for an adult. The private bathroom is across the hall from the room.
This small hotel feels like a family home, and you do feel like family. The location is good for easy access to the Metro and park. The owner and assistant are outstanding.
