Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Rooms are very small, but that's OK. I just had a very bad sleep- walls are paper thin and you hear people taking loudly when they come in or knocking on the door at night. What is really needed- getting a lock that people could use or electronic lock outside- because if you come back after 9pm hostel is locked and you have to bang on door to open - everyone sleeping can hear that :(
Great location, next to good restaurants. Staff was lovely, we did laundry there as well' super good service. Breakfast was great too! And the dog was my favourite part :)

The only downside was that there was a lot of construction happening outside and so it was quite noisy from the front rooms, but the back rooms and rooftop were quiet! This is obviously circumstantial to this point in time.
We had a wonderful stay. The staff are the loveliest, fantastic breakfast (with lots of choice!!), and very comfortable stay.

The room could have been more spacious and a little bit cleaner. A fan or an air-condition could have been nice additions cause it was a bit hot.

Rooms are small. The beds aren't really comfortable. You can hear every noise in the hostel.
The staff go above and beyond to be friendly and accommodating! They really made our stay wonderful. It was very clean, the breakfast was good, and they will make you a coffee at any time! Plus the dog is super cute :)

Stairs are not for the aged or overweight. Beds could be bigger.... But that's typical.

Not much social atmosphere but can always go to nearby hostels with bars
Friendly staff who gave us recommendations and were very welcoming. Clean Breakfast included is great The fan that came with the room was much appreciated in the current heat Great value for money considering the location

Good location. Lots of restaurants and bars right round the corner. Felt very safe Staff were very helpful Room was comfortable, wifi speed good and hot shower was amazing. Breakfast included was basic but good - appreciAted the fruit juices being all natural with no added sugar

The hotel is located in a quiet area of El Poblado, but with a lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The metro is really close. Nice beakfast with fruits, eggs and coffe.

Clean rooms, friendly, helpful and kind staff. Breakfast was good! Worth for the price. They also help you to organize your tours if needed.

- very safe location in El Poblado. A police camera is running 24/7 just few meters away. - nice roof top terrace - good breakfast - the staff were super helpful (Thanks Andrés for your tips ;)) - nice communal kitchen, toilettes and dining area

its sticky in the room/no AC but there is a fan in the room
the location in Poblado is awesome and very safe and also the staff was helpful. We also enjoyed the breakfast and it was very good.
