Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Iruka Hotel is set right in front of the ocean in Shiretoko, a world heritage site. Free private parking is available on site. Room is very clean and tidy and could see the sea! And the windows is also clear. We especially enjoyed the shared kitchen.

I chose this hotel due to its location next to the trail head of rausu dake and I am super happy that I did that! The hotel is a cultural experience! Everything was perfect. The onsen was magnificent, the food was so diverse and of local products, and the tatami room was beautiful. They even offered a pepper spray against bears for my hike. To be honest, I can't share the opinion of the others that the hotel is too expensive. Instead I'd say you get more then what you pay!

Route Inn Grantia Shiretoko Shari Ekimae is only a 1-minute walk from JR Shiretoko Shari Station. It features an outdoor hot-spring bath, massage services and modern rooms with free wired internet. Excellent location, next to the train station and the bus station. They have onsen at the hotel, which is great. Very good breakfast served in the morning, with a variety of westerner and asian food.
