El Agape Hotel Haranggaol se encuentra en Haranggaul y ofrece pileta al aire libre, salón compartido, terraza y restaurante. Very comfortable, especially after the long and tenuous night drive to get there. It feels like an "end of the road" location down tight, bendy mountain roads. So that makes it all the better when you arrive and find how nice the place is. Room had a fridge which was very helpful as we were travelling with food. Room was very nice and comfortable. This is clearly a notch up from many budget hotels. The pool was great for the kids and no one was brave enough to try the slide into the lake.

The hosts and the staff were super friendly and very helpful to make our short stay in Lake Toba fulfilling. They helped arrange scooter rentals and lended me a large bicycle since the rental bicycles in town are all medium sized. And they provided detailed information on where to go on the island. The food was also great. Breakfast was big and tasty. And dinner seemed like it was home cooked. We mostly ate vegetarian except for grilled fish once which was also excellent.
