The hotel is an easy 15-20 minute walk from the centre of town and on the doorstep of the incredible Tarn gorge. Stephanie and her colleague went out of their way to make our stay special - especially when trying to find an open restaurant on a Monday night.

L’Arbre à Pain Hotel is situated in Altier, a mountainous, calm area, 7 km from Villefort Lake. The hotel rooms are equipped with a TV, bathroom, seating area and balcony. An amazing find. I was cycling the St Malo to Nice route (France en Velo) and Altier proved a perfect stop on the way. The owners and staff could not have been more friendly. My bike was safe and the room very generously proportioned. The food was amazing, sourcing local products while being great value. This was my favourite stop of the entire trip.

Set in Ganges, Chateauzen offers eco-friendly accommodation in a castle sitting in a large park with a heated outdoor swimming pool and an outdoor seating area. The suites feature Feng Shui... Beautiful location and castle, with friendly staff. This historic monument is nestled on a mountain side next to a village and is well run by a dedicated group of staff from front desk to kitchen. Can only recommend! Only downside during our stay was the heatwave that week, not the hotels fault of course but may be the additional provision of coolers/fan can be recommended in future. :)

Logis Hôtel Restaurant Le Pradinas is situated within the Cévennes National Park. The building dates from the 18th century and is a former a silk worm farm. This place is wonderful, just what we we had looked for: authentic hotel, family managed and a very delicious kitchen. Pool area is super relaxing and we could even go for a swim mid April. Definitely want to come back to this beautiful place.

They had everything we needed and the staff were very pleasant. The terrace and grounds looked lovely but it was raining so we couldn’t take advantage of it. The breakfast was excellent.
