Set just metres from the sandy beach in Golden Sands, Grifid Vistamar Hotel offers a roof terrace with infinity pool, and a private beach with parasols and sunbeds free of charge for the guests. Overall a great experience. All the staff were lovely. Transfers to and from the hotel were easily arranged at a reasonable price. The check-in experience was smooth, and very welcoming; thanks to the always smiling Bell Boy who is an asset to Grifid Vistamar. The food was great. Drinks were definitely not watered down. Evening entertainment was enjoyable. A special mention to Nikolay, the manager at the buffets, who was incredibly friendly, and ensured we had everything that we hoped for. Thank you! We will definitely be back!

There was free drinking water and tea in the room. And the breakfast was quite attractive also. We stayed there for one night. From the hotel to bus station in a taxi was 5 lev. Thanks a lot, I enjoyed it.

Boasting a seasonal pool with terrace, Roomer Hotel is situated in the centre of Golden Sands, 100 metres from the beach. Free WiFi is provided in all areas. It was an excellent stay in Ibis Styles. We did not expect such a warm welcome, such a new glowing renovated hotel and an amazing , most welcoming team, working there! A special thanks to Viktoria, the manager, to reception girls, and to the restaurant team : Ivo , Olga and Petr. Breakfasts were always fresh, tasty and also it is a very good choice of amazing bulgarian food. New coffee machines with tasty coffee (not always like that in the other hotels). Plenty of fresh vegetables snd fruits. We tried dinners, too. It was very good, too. The main word is : tasty.So , special thanks to the restaurant chefs, too! And the last , but not the least : it is very clean, the hotel. And our cleaning lady, Nelly, on the 5th floor , was very very good. So i can recall it as a comfortable and pleasant stay , warm and welcoming people around you - so we felt almost at home!!!

Više sam očekivala od grada Varne.
Grad varna nije ispunio moja očekivanja. Zgrade su starih i nerenoviranih fasada, čini se zapuštenim. Pješačka zona je bila pusta, iako je bilo sunčano vrijeme. "Morska gradina" je u fazi radova. Odlazak do Zlatnih pjasuka je bio razočaravajući, jer osim nagomilanih hotela i nebodera, nije bilo ničeg drugog. Povezanost Varne s Zlatnim pjasucima je dobra.

The town beach is great, especially Coastal Park. The city of Varna has a very run-down house, sidewalks and greenery, landscaped parks and only the very center. It is an excellent offer in restaurants, especially recommend the restaurant Serbian skara (Serbian grill). Be sure to visit the Archaeological Museum and the Tourist Board organizes free guided tours daily. For only 1.5 euro a city bus can go to the seaside resort Golden Sands that I was not impressed. A bus ticket from the airport is only 50 cents (1 lev).

Went sightseeing the first day - nice sights, although they could use a little bit more care, especially the Roman ruins which are spectacular, but poorly maintained. The promenade is beautiful and full of life, nice restaurants, cafes, gyros places and so on. The beach is nice if you like sand and the sea is clean, very nice for a swim in June. You can reach Zlati pjasci (Golden Sands) with a public transport for 3:20 lev, although you can get a taxi there even cheaper - for 3 leva. Just make a deal with the driver beforehand. Varna beach might even be nicer than Zlati pjasci, but I guess the clubbing scene is better at Zlati pjasci which is a tourist resort. Visit the Aladža monastery if you're into this kind of sightseeing. For a good beer, visit Avery beers store and Štajgata pub. For meals, look for the discounts after 6 pm at the self-service-local-kitchen restaurants. Try šopska salad and ajran!
