The owners were the absolute best. They went above and beyond to make sure our large group was taken care of. They even mailed us some ski clothing we had left behind. The rooms were comfortable and I really appreciated their efforts to help us disconnect and enjoy the space. The location was stunning! We went in January and the hills were beautiful but I could see how it would equally gorgeous in the summer months.

This hotel was a last minute find for me - I was touring, in rain on my motorcycle and had had enough for the day. A quick check on booking.com found this little gem, just 6 miles from where I was. And what an excellent find. From the minute I arrived I was welcomed warmly by Matius and Sabrina (I think?) who were super friendly and could not do enough to accommodate my every need. For example, finding me an alternative place to eat my evening meal so I could avoid the smoke drifting in from the outside terrace - just one of those things that couldn't be helped, but it made a difference to me so their actions in dealing with it for me was very much appreciated. The hotel has undergone significant renovations over the past couple of years and to an excellent standard - the outside, which is traditional in structure, belies what is inside which is a wonderful surprise to walk into. I was so comfortable at this hotel and had such a good night's sleep, that I stayed another night and took advantage of the lovely area and nearby forests to have a break from riding and to go for a walk instead. My visit was mid-week so the hotel was not at full capacity and it was peaceful. However, I was told that the weekend before, there had been 53 pilgrims staying who were making the walk from Vienna to Mariazell - a popular route for them. As a solo traveller, had I been there the same weekend, I am sure I would have had a completely different and interesting experience!

Gastwirtschaft Hold ligt in Mönichwald in de regio Joglland en beschikt over een restaurant met traditionele gerechten uit Stiermarken. This is a wonderful place to stay. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We chose a suite and were surprised by the size of it. It had a coffee maker and a small fridge which were perfect for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the walk-in shower was great. There was a tub but we didn't use it during our stay. There was a nice porch out front where we sat to enjoy the spring sunshine. Breakfast was a feast with items and coffee made to order as well as a large layout of food to chose from in the buffet. We ate dinner in the evening and everything was fresh and made to order. It was so good we were even tempted by dessert. We enjoyed being in a family run establishment which made us feel like welcome guests.

Het Knappenhof is een traditioneel hotel aan de voet van de Rax Berg en biedt een wellnessruimte met sauna en stoombad en een restaurant met een groot terras waar regionale en seizoensgebonden... The hotel was surrounded by absolutely stunning nature! Quiet, clean and fresh air, incredible view from our room and the restaurant terrace both.

Hotel zum Heiligen Geist ligt in het centrum van Mariazell, op slechts 30 meter van de kabelbaan Bürgeralpe en op 500 m van de basiliek. Er is gratis WiFi beschikbaar. Everything was great. Room was much bigger than we expected, exceptionally clean, hotel perfectly located - on the main street, few minutes from sops and restaurants. Owner is very pleasant, she gave us many useful tips. Breakfast was carefully selected, tasty and plentiful. All in all, hotel highly recommended.

Het Mönichwalderhof ligt op een schilderachtige locatie in Mönichwald in Oost-Stiermarken. Het biedt een spa met een binnenzwembad en een grote tuin met een kinderspeelplaats. The location was beautiful, the hungarian speaking staff was very very kind and helpful, the parking place is in the back (near the beautiful forest slopes) right in front of our balcony. The wellness (with pool and sauna non stop opening) was just under our room; it's the perfect pastime if the weather is not so kind. Food is delicious and you shall never skip the sunday lunch!

Hotel Onkel Fritz ligt op 3 minuten lopen van het centrum van Spital am Semmering en op 800 m van het ski- en wandelgebied Stuhleck. Wonderful place, with friendly hosts and amazing breakfast. The rooms are very comfortable, especially the suits. Sauna is also available after skiing. The nearest parking for the slopes is really close to the location. Overall I would recommend it to everyone planning to stay for a few days for skiing, hiking etc. Breakfast is exceptional, and we also appreciated the aim for low waste and environmental friendly accomodation.
