Situated in Gatehouse of Fleet, 49 km from Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club, Masonic Arms Gatehouse has a number of amenities including a garden, a restaurant and a bar. The food was excellent, stapp were top. Quirky practical interiors very well done.

Beautiful location, lovely room with thick carpets, a comfortable bed, and a decent sized shower, and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious. The on-site bar and restaurant were friendly and welcoming.

Set in Kirkcowan, Craighlaw Arms Boutique B&B has a garden, shared lounge, bar, and free WiFi. The inn features family rooms. At the inn, rooms are fitted with a desk and a flat-screen TV. Great welcome. Very pet friendly - no problem even at breakfast - our border collie was allowed to sit under the table. Very comfortable bed in spacious room. Lovely quiet village with shop and excellent walks for dogs.

Situated 11 km from Caerlaverock Castle, The Farmers Inn offers 2-star accommodation in Dumfries and has a terrace, a bar and water sports facilities. Very friendly staff. Lovely little traditional place with excellent food and modern, clean accommodation. Would 100% recommend and stay again if passing through.

Situated in Sandhead, 200 metres from Ringdoo Sands Beach, Tigh Na Mara Hotel has a number of amenities including a shared lounge, a restaurant, a bar and free WiFi. Food selection was great. The lounge had a great fire and was pet friendly. First time having Haggis - very good.

Robert Burns, Scotland’s national poet, once inscribed a window at this 16th-century hotel in Moffat’s centre. The room was beautiful and clean. The staff was extremely friendly. When I arrived too late to eat dinner in their restaurant, they called another restaurant for me and arranged a reservation. They also upgraded my room due to availability without me asking. They were wonderful.

The service was unmatched, every member of staff were helpful, efficient and friendly, they couldn't do enough for you. The restaurant menu was great - a lot of variety especially with the specials menu changing frequently too. Breakfast was also a winner, continental and a full Scottish breakfast if you wanted (you could pick as many or as less items as wanted). The hotel is more than 300 years old so it was lovely staying somewhere that holds a small amount of history.

The Nithsdale Hotel is situated in the heart of Sanquhar on the A76, halfway between Dumfries and Kilmarnock. Free WiFi is provided throughout the hotel and free parking is available at rear. Good hotel with food and drinks.

This unique and friendly hotel dates back to the 1700s. It offers good home-cooked food, free Wi-Fi and 8 refurbished en suite rooms. Very clean and spacious room. Perfect for a family group. Fabulous evening meal in the hotel restaurant. Hosts were very helpful and welcoming. couldn’t be better!

This friendly, family-run inn offers a mix of well-equipped rooms and en suite chalets. The Thistle Inn has a reputation for hospitality that brings back valued guests year after year. The room was very clean. Received a warm greeting. Bed was a little soft had one of those form toppers on it. Tv work well and so did the internet.
