Kusatsu Onsen Boun boasts ski-to-door access, 6 hot spring baths and a garden, while guests can choose which a yukata robe they would like to use.
“This is a traditional guest house right near the centre of Kusatsu Onsen. The room and property was very well maintained and clean. There are three onsens onsite which all provide indoor and outdoor baths. The two that I used were both very clean and well maintained. The one that I didn't try, I'm sure, would be to the same high standard as well. Dinner and breakfast were included in my room rate. Dinner was served in room by a lovely hostess who bought a multitude of delicious courses, and breakfast is served in the dining room near reception. Food was quite tasty, fresh and with an amazing assortment. This ryokan does not provided non-smoking rooms, which I thought may be a problem, but I was pleasantly surprised that there was less than a hint of smokiness to the room.”
