“Everything during the stay was 10/10. I ordered flowers and a card, in the room on arrival, for my wife as it was our first wedding anniversary. Perfect service. On arrival, the reception made us feel at home straight away, calling us by our surname. A perfect touch. My wife is gluten intolerant. We only had to tell the restaurant staff once and we always found our table ready with food fit for her. We used the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Excellent food and very good value for money. Room very clean and spacious. Safe parking within the Property. Will surely come back. Highly recommended.”

Great location...we recommend having a car, which made getting around easy...places we wanted to visit were close by or not too far away from the hotel and we didn't have a problem going around. They were also really cool and sweet with our small dog that we brought along on our vacation! Dining at their restaurant, "Zafferano" under chef Domenico di Bari is an ABSOLUTE MUST!!! He takes culinary composition and creation to a whole new level! Definitely one of the best plates/ meals/ dishes we've had...and just an excellent experience. Wonderful wine pairing as well! Oh and the best panna cotta we've ever had!!! We ate there 5 nights!!! Perfect place to come back to after a long day of going around and sightseeing, or after the beach! Actually, also to just stay there the whole day...swim, layout, eat, relax, read a book and chill out...which we did. We stayed here for a full week and really enjoyed this place! We will definitely be coming back! Everything was wonderful!”

Easy access for anyone needing it (I have an ankle injury so was a real plus that there were no stairs). Great service by all the staff and Antonio, who spoke good English, was extremely helpful about places to go, local markets, etc. he was also great about explaining all the wonderful local foods we had in our antipasto. We ate two dinners there, perfect when you are tired after a long day. The food was fresh, delicious and in fact the two best meals we had in Sicily this trip. Also loved that we were just enough outside of the hustle and bustle of the city to have a peaceful setting, but an easy 10 minute ride into Ortigia. Great not having to search for parking when you return at the end of the day. Would definitely go back.”

The house is clean and warm and everything's ready. It's filled with abundant sunshine, from the dining room you can get a good view of the rooftops of city town and a distant sea. The greatest above greatest thing is that Renato and Ramona are really the nicest people we've ever met in a trip. They treated us so warmly and sincerely as if we were friends for long. They invited us to taste their homemade drinks and offered us a delicious breakfast of Sicilian style. Chatting with them is a pleasant thing and meeting them at Siracusa would always be memorable. The way this old home (his childhood home) has been redone is really quite remarkable. It has so much charm and history. The breakfast was great and we ate it on the terrace both days. The room we had stood alone off the terrace and was so unique. The shower worked great, as did the WiFi and the bed was very comfortable. It looked like it was decorated professionally. Besides the property, the best part was Dario who makes a perfect host in every way. Dimora Archimedea is located within easy walking distance of the temples. A word of warning, you do need to have a car (for restaurants & shops). A couple of nice sandy beaches are a short walking distance from the place and if you are ready to walk a bit further you can find plenty of beautiful ,though rocky, places to swim and relax. The room was cleaned daily and had all you expect from a B&B (in very good condition). We went for heavier version of breakfast with cheese and Italian meat and it was very good.I hope we will visit it again one day.”

Note it is a spiral staircase to reach this room.The apartments are located on a walking only street but this was not a problem, because I called Raffaele when we arrived on the island and he met us so we could follow him to the closest location. He helped with our bags and helped us find a place to park our car near by. He took the time to show us some excellent restaurants and where points of interest were located on a map. He even speaks some English.”
