The breakfast/lunch/ dinner buffet spread was sumptuous even for vegetarians like us. Very clean rooms and restaurant. Very helpful and forthcoming staff especially the restaurant staff.”

“I booked this place for a single night but stayed here for three nights. The rooms are fairly spacious and very clean. The home made food was also great and the location of the property is awesome and is very much suitable for couples and families. The host of the property is very kind and was really very helpful . “Some trips are more about people than the list of 'must visit' local places.Rare Earth was definitely once such experience and it can summed up in one word - Fantabulous! Its hands down one of the best experiences we have had till date and all credit to the hosts on that. Revathi and Yogesh are lovely people and amazing hosts who take care of all your needs right from your arrival be it the accomodation, food, travel plans - you name it, they take care of it.They were very warm and extremely thoughtful. An integral part of our trip and amazing company. The place was tastefully decorated , extremely clean, super spacious, huge bathroom, private porch nicely flanked by amazing people around. We were also very fortunate enough to have some lovely people with whom we were sharing this place for the weekend. We were served amazing finger licking home cooked meals with lots and lots of love. They take care to find out your meal preferences and cook accordingly and its always a lavish spread. Still drooling over the thought of the yummy pandhi curry, rice balls, chicken curry, bhindi subji, dal, Adai, Vadai, Idly, Dosa, Poha, Mutton curry , mushroom curry, Puri Sago and the list just keeps going on. Each meal is different. Each meal each day is different. How they manage this and everything else at the location with such perfection is beyond my imagination. We are so happy to have spent our Anniversary at Rare Earth with Revathi and Yogesh going the extra mile(s) to make it just special and we felt over the moon! They didn't have to and what they did will be etched in our minds forever. Amazing fun, yummy food, beautiful location, Lovely people - ideal recipe for making memories and Rare Earth Homestay has just nailed the art of it. “I had been to Notting Hill homestay with my husband. Usually you feel a little apprehensive about going to an unknown house, staying with strangers, and when homestays are considered, usually there will be other guests. Being a lady, in order for you to enjoy the stay and have fun, first and foremost, you should be feeling safe, and that's exactly what NottingHill had to offer, among many other things like delicious food, amazing view of the valleys and a quiet, unwinding experience. You get a feel of the responsible and accountable mindset of the owners, when, right from the time of booking and throughout your stay, they try to make sure that all your preferences are captured, everything is smooth. Special thanks to Ms Netra for the same! The caretaker, Mr Anand, is the backbone of this place, he makes sure to attend to the needs of the guests. There were foreign guests at the home stay along with us, and our food preferences for dinner were poles apart- they preferred vegetarian food, and we could not have missed Coorg style Pork and chicken curry. Anand made sure each one of us was happy!! We were discussing how amazing he was! He had also prepared delicious Chilli chicken as finger food to go along with beer in the evening. Its such a relaxing experience to sit in the veranda, with a can of chilled beer, gazing at the beautifully lit valley in the night. Raja Seat and the town are nearby, but if you want to visit other places of interest like TalaCauvery, Abbi falls or Golden temple in Kushal nagar within a couple of days, there will be considerable travelling involved - so plan accordingly. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone who is planning to stay in Madikeri. P.S : I noticed some comments about the shared bathroom. They will not make you share bathroom with other travelers. One room has an attached bathroom. Other two rooms have a shared bathroom.”

“Very tastefully done Villa. big rooms with beautiful upholstery. Bathrooms too are pretty spacious with pretty much all facilities. The view from the villa (specially from the terrace room) is very good. Helpful staff (Leena will guide you quite well on what to do/see during the stay in Coorg). They also have a coffee plantation which you can go and have a tour of for a small fee. It's pretty nice.”

“The owners, Pradeep and Ganga were very friendly and gregarious.. we felt as if we are paying a visit to our family!.. Had very long, hilarious conversations with both of them.. The location of property was excellent..It's a well planned estate and provides good amenities..On par with international standards..The houses are perched atop a hill..And the views from balcony are breathtaking..Not to mention the pleasant sound of birds from the vast canopy of trees underneath.. The food was excellent..We had outside food at Madikeri restaurants a couple of times but the quality outside is awful when compared to what Ganga and the Amritasthanam staff offer.. everything at Amritasthanam is perfectly hygienic...and organic..The home made desserts and salads made by Ganga were heavenly..I had the most delicious carrot cake, topped with baked plantain, apple sauce and Vanilla ice cream!.. the chicken and fish fare were mouth watering but healthy at the same time.. The rooms, beds and the decor inside is tasteful.. Everything is classy.. The estate is located at about 8 kms from Madikeri town center..The drive from town to Amritasthanam is lovely with very few vehicles and touristy stuff..And I really enjoyed driving through the last 1-1.5km narrow stretch of road ..it really takes you away from all the hustle bustle of mundanity that you are trying to escape..”
