A modern building with rustic charm. We had the entire place to ourselves. Large breakfast room, common room and pool area. 2 fireplaces for cold days but it was 29 degrees during our visit so the AC was more important. Beautiful night sky and a rooster in the morning! Nice breakfast prepared by the housekeeper.

Casa da Padaria is a very beautiful stone house very close to the center of the village of Piodao and with a great view over the mountains. The house is extremely well maintained and clean. The breakfast was of high quality and the host is very pleasant. We strongly recommend.

Cerdeira - Home for Creativity houses an arts and crafts school, is hidden in Serra da Lousã and offers traditional units built in schist surrounded by an undulating landscape. Seriously one of the best places I have ever stayed at. You really feel at home, at night the only thing you hear is the water stream... pure lush! Everyone is very homely, the houses are very traditional but with modern features on the inside. Mind blowing

Quinta da Alma Cheia is an early 20th century property that includes orchards, vineyards and meadows This typical Beira Baixa estate has 4 granite houses with an open space architecture, spread across... Very nice place "in the middle of nowhere" where you feel history in every stone around and in walls.. Our staying was surprising and magic on the same time ! If you wish for few days totally free your mind and get plenty of fresh air -- it's exactly what you need ! Not surprised that some people stayed for longer once being in place ;-)) everything was just fine ! As well we all appreciated "local food" breakfast giving feeling to be at home. And we also did not hesitate to try a "local dinner" (you need to do your reservation ahead, because all the food is prepared and cooked locally the same day and on-demand only) -- and this was a true pleasure !!! So glad we stayed there ! One of the best memories about our vacations in Portugal !
