Most of the attractions are within walking distance.
Most of the attractions are within walking distance. The Salem Witch trial exhibits were very interesting for history lesson. Red's Diner is highly recommended for breakfast. Salem is a great little city with so much historical significance, beautiful old homes and a fantastic museums. If you have the time, it is well worth a side trip. Mercy Tavern is also a great spot, lovely food, cocktails and staff. I wanted to go to Salem since I was a child, 30 years later I finally made it. Anybody that is in to the type of stuff in Salem would love it. Could spend a week there just looking at all the shops. Then you have the tours and self guided paths, you really just have to research what you are into.Michael - 10Scored 10
Salem is a fun place to visit.
Salem is a fun place to visit. Lots of attractions and activities to keep you busy. Food was great and many places to choose from. We liked Reds, Dire Wolf Tavern and Carmel Patisserie. I would highly recommend any time of year because of the variety of attractions and places to visit. The Witch Dungeon Museum and the Witch House were among my favorites to visit. Awesome place for a girls get away. We were able to walk everywhere and see what we wanted. The boutiques and shopping were awesome. We also did a Psychic Reading and a Witches Circle and Witch City Walking tour. We loved all of them. I would definitely come back and do them again.

The history of Salem is just so..
The history of Salem is just so.. Interesting, colorful, fasinating, rewarding and a little sad. What human beings can doing to each other is unbelievable in both evil and good ways. We stayed at the Salem INN and loved it. Ate at Turners, Rockafellas and some other places that slip my mind. These two were great. Used the trolly and walked alot.

Loved having the two bathrooms! The hotel was walking distance to everything we wanted to do and having parking was extremely convenient. The delicious complementary lemonade in the lobby was a very nice touch and the beds and linens made for a very restful sleep. Our windows faced the Salem Commons and the Salem Witch Museum. The glow of red at night from the museum was a nice aesthetic when looking out the window.

They called ahead of time to make sure I knew the address, they sent an email and were very thorough so I would know where to park, and extremely friendly when we arrived. The rooms were so clean, the beds are the comfiest I have ever slept on in a hotel, and the location to get around all the hot spots in Salem was wonderful and within walking distance.

The bnb is in a great location for the heart of Salem village too, close to the wharf and maritime history part while still being close to the shops and restaurants.
