Key West is a gem of an island in the Florida Keys, popular with pleasure seekers and history buffs alike. As the most southern destination in the continental United States, Key West has a fascinating history, dating back to its settlement by Spanish explorers in the 16th century.
Today, this little island off the coast of Florida attracts over a million cruise visitors a year through the Port of Key West. Visitors come to see Hemingway House, where Ernest Hemingway penned "A Farewell to Arms." Key West Cemetery provides a unique walk through the multicultural past of the city. You'll never be disappointed in key west for the night life, sunsets, and shops. It's a historical city, so don't expect any modern or touristy things like amusement and water parks - just a great experience at the southermost point of the continental US.

Duval street has your abundance of souvenir shops, along with some nice boutiques and art galleries (which I recommend going into all the art shops). Blue Heaven restaurant is a must for breakfast, specifically the lobster eggs Benedict. For dinner with a bit more ambiance try Martins and Cafe Marquesa the food was fabulous. The butterfly conservatory, the lighthouse and Hemingway house were all great and would recommend. We also did a sunset cruise with Sunset Waterspouts and it was soo much fun.

Cruise Ship Terminal had ended the previous unique remote island lifestyle. Gift Shops with T-Shirts, Crowded Sidewalks of Tourists too Bored to Stay on Ship and Lacking Businesses to Contain their Flip-Flop Sea-Sickness Mind Hive. Cheap Buzz. Locals of former fame are now long gone. I came, I saw, and on no occasion do I desire a repeat. We loved the sunset at Mallory Square, Hemingway House, Aqua Drag show, entertainment at Lateda and so much more. Stay in a central location (we were on Olivia Street) and you can walk everywhere. Dress casually and stay cool because it is very hot and humid, but gorgeous.

Best activity was the sea plane to the Dry Tortugas. A little pricey, but so well worth it! Highly recommend.

Key West is gorgeous and rich with history.
Key West is gorgeous and rich with history. I would call it less of a conventional beach town, as the beaches are sparse and man made because of the whole island thing. If you love the water then this is the place. Boats, jet skis, snorkeling and more are all available for you to enjoy and Duval Street is full of shopping, restaurants and bars. There are some very unique vendors with one of a kind items and lots of art appreciation from the locals. The beach stores are a little over priced on some of their beach wares, which is typical, but there is no shortage of cute and original boutiques. Rent a scooter or a golf cart when you get there. It is the best way to travel while you are there.
Lovely hotel, wouldnt stay here again though as the security that was on late at night ruined our whole stay, he was. So rude because we lost a key and had to knock at the door, screaming and shouting at us ok a power trip, Paul blart mall cop is what he was like, a ridiculous man who needs to get a job away from customer service instead of of threatening to leave 2 girls in the middle of key west at 3am.
Our room was two stories and that was unexpected. It provided our family with much needed space. I was not anticipating a room of that size. The hotel was only 2 miles from downtown Key West, but far enough to have some peace. I thoroughly enjoyed having 2 balconies and the ability to enjoy the tranquility of the garden. The pools were beautiful and I liked that one pool was dedicated to adults only.
The staff was friendly and the room was neat and clean. The room was facing the courtyard with a balcony that overlooks the pool surrounded with lush tropical garden. The location was convenient. There is a grocery store right across the street. It's easily accessible to all part of Key West if you have a car. There is a boardwalk behind the hotel with the bay view. There is parking at the property.
After paying crazily high rates at another local hotel, we found this place on Booking.com after deciding to stay an extra night (Key West is incredible, how could we not!). The Palms offered much more sensibly priced accommodation. I felt we got excellent value for money given the quality of the rooms and the fact it included breakfast. All of the staff were also really helpful and friendly.
It was a wonderful Key West style hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is simple yet a wonderful addition to the stay. We opted for a queen room, but next time, I would get a king. Rooms were nice in size with a refrigerator. The bathroom was my only complaint it was so small. I'll definitely stay here again. It was a nice quiet area.
I absolutely loved the staff. Maybe I wasn’t there for too long but I felt very welcomed. The hostel is the only one in the area and I’m so glad! Maybe it isn’t the cheapest one but comparing to other accommodation options in Key West it's ok:) it was clean and colourful. I loved the area and it’s close to a beach.
Location and reception staff were excellent. Great service with free bicycle's. Nice gardens. Very drinkable coffee at breakfast. I couldn't find any coffee that I could drink in the whole of Key West apart from Hotel at breakfast only. Being European, we are used to good high quality coffee.
From the check-in (where the front desk staff were very, very nice) to our bedroom and pool. Everything in this hotel was amazing. The location is perfect!! I would definitely recommend this hotel if this is your first time in Key West.
Awesome location, walking distance to everything you want to see in Key West. Pool area was nice. Breakfast was pretty decent for a hotel, my sister was very excited that they had gluten free bagels. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.
The room was wonderful, every room was pool side. The restaurant and the bar were always delicious and lovely. The staff was so responsive and helpful! There was a great hotel shuttle into Key West and back to the hotel again all day!
clean room, good room
service, nice quite working AC. I also liked the breakfast and omelets. the price was a little high for the standard of the property but I assume Key West hotel rates are more expensive than elsewhere.
great location for families, biggest and one of the best beaches of key west was across the street!every hour one bus from the hotel to the old town, very friendly drivers, super waiters/waitresses at the restaurant and bar
This hotel is a little gem of an oasis down a lane right in the middle of Old Town Key West. Nothing was too much trouble for Isabella. Happy hour by the pool with free drinks was a bonus, as were the free bikes.
The Seaport Inn is a lovely little hotel in a typical Key West house in the middle of the historic old town. The staff is super friendly and they make you feel like a resident. We will definitely come back.
This is our next visit to Key West and another overnight stay at this Hotel. It meets our expectations in every respect, so we plan to stay there the next time we come. We recommend it for pair and family.
A very nice hotel in an excellent location on Key West. We stayed 2 nights, with a trip to the Dry Tortugas in between, and the hotel was only 3 blocks to the boat landing.
