This hotel was very clean and the staff was the most friendly and helpful that I have ever experienced.
The first morning I didn't want full breakfast, so I ordered a sandwich. The sandwich, with French fries and olives, turned out to be a full meal that lasted me the whole day.

Good staff and professional, the location is in the city center (it might be scary when you walk outside during the night since it's empty and dark).
The hotel has 2 parking spots outside and underground so you won't find any problem to park.
It's close also the airport, so to stay for a couple of days there it's okay I guess.

Carthage the highlight.
Carthage the highlight. La Marsa and other suburbs were worth a visit. Bizerte a big disappointment.
Tunis is not a very attractive city. Apart from the main street there is dirt and squalor everywhere. The trams are often packed with no ventilation, are dirty and in many cases there are no tram stop names indicated. There is only one small park anywhere near the city centre.
The taxi from the airport is all hassle as the drivers try to rip off passengers. The light rail lines to Carthage and to La Marsa weren't operational.
There are very few decent restaurants in the city centre. Compared to other African countries I have visited (Morocco and Egypt) the locals aren't particularly friendly (with notable exceptions).
As someone who has visited more than 45 countries I wouldn't recommend Tunisia under any circumstances.

You must head to the Medina.
You must head to the Medina. It is a maze of narrow streets and packed with shoppers. The stroll in there alone is an experience.
Expect to be pestered a little but just walk on if you don't want to be invited into the little shops to buy something. It's a fun experience.
Try a Brik. It's a fried doughnut which is just delicious and cheap.
The people are generally incredibly friendly and curious but be aware of the odd gentlemen who claims to work night security at your hotel and starts to accompany you around the medina. This happened to me 3 times by 3 different men. They have the same story.

Tunis is a great place to experience Arab culture tempered by French finesse. It is easy to get around the city on foot, tram or taxi. Lots to see and do. It is also not far from other amenities and historic sites.

The medina is an interesting way of spending a couple of hours with a nice cafe above where you can look over Tunis. Taxis are the best way to travel around and there are plenty. Lots of places to eat. I think as a tourist in Tunis you just need to beware of
being ripped off by being over charged at almost every point. Other than that it’s a very interesting place to visit and actually very cheap!!
Hotel location excellent, walking distance to many sites in Tunis on everyone's bucket list, Medina, Mosques, Markets, cheap restuarants as well as more expensive ones, the Hotel Manager was great and arranged pick up from Airport and helped with any issues, always with a smile. Taxi's are reasonable, but use meter always. Area was safe to walkaround late at night. Tunisia generally felt safe everywhere...
Room was spacious and comfortable, Great hot shower with good pressure. Would stay again...
Stayed at the main hotel for years ,first time DAR Dorra ,nice rooms for single travelers ,the hotel is in a great location and very quite ,nice breakfast and sadly the roof top restaurant at lunch is to be avoided.
Very nice capable young waiters but no overall control ,and as I live in Tunisia have been there many times to eat, will avoid lunch in the future ,but at night very capable waiters .They don't seem to change but the ones in the day time always seem to ,something wrong 🤔🤔
The property is very modern and has recently been renovated. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. The location was great, as the property is located in central Tunis close to tourist attractions. The room was well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Housekeeping were very friendly. The breakfast was nice. Exceptional value.I would highly recommend this hotel
Great location in the heart of Tunis. Room looked over the Medina gates, with double french windows to let in the atmosphere & local hubbub. Room size was adequate with a small desk (I was working), & a fridge. Good breakfast.
The hotel is quirky in a good way, good value & clean, plus the staff were very helpful, sorting a long distance car when my transport fell through.
Hospitality was next level! A family run business that knows how to treat the customer well. My friend and I were upgraded to the suit and it was a phenomenal experience. We had to leave before breakfast was served but luckily the hotel accommodated and brought us breakfast at 4am! Got good sleep and delicious meal before a flight. Perfect location to the airport!
This is definitely the most special looking hotel I've ever stayed in. It felt like we were sleeping in a palace. All the rooms were different and had their unique look and feel.
Breakfast was a variety of international food with some Tunisian specialities.
The staff was very welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate our special demands.
What sets the Belvedere Fourati apart from other hotels in Tunis is the commitment to being an excellent hotel, one that cultivates their guests into returning and faithful clientele. The Belvedere Fourati creates a welcoming « home away from home » atmosphere for the guests, and works hard at maintaining that standard of hospitality year after year.
The location of the hotel is unbeatable. Literally a street away from the main avenue in Tunis. The rooms are spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the shower really powerful.
I got the room I asked for which was nice and overall, the staff I encountered were very polite, especially the cleaners and the security officers at the main entrance.
Friendly staff. Large clean room with tea, coffee, kettle and fridge. A comfortable bed. Good breakfast with plenty of choices. The meals from the restaurant were good. There is a nice busy bar a few minutes walk away. The hotel is good for business travellers, it's close to many bank offices. Tunis centre is about 25 minutes walk.
Not too far from the middle of the action in Tunis. It is a brand new hotel, so a few people might not know it right away. It is very well maintained and cleaned everyday. Spacious rooms, even the single room was pretty good. 10/10 and would stay there again if I ever come back to Tunis
The hotel is in a central location in the city - great for women traveling alone. Also, a short walk to the TGM to catch the train to Carthage and Sidi Bou Said. The hotel staff were excellent and super helpful. If I were to return to Tunis, I would definitely stay at this hotel.
The breakfast on offer is the best continental I’ve had out of the 4 different hotels I’ve stayed in Tunis. The rooms are clean, the TV works (with an all movie channel in English - MBC). The location is handy to shops and the centre is about 15 minute walk at best.
Youssef helped us a lot during our stay. I think it was the best part, because we arrived in Tunis at night - for the first time in the country - and we did not know how the city works. Besides that, the hotel is fantastic and beautiful. I fully recommend it.
The facilities were generally on point with the brand, as well as comfortable. The room was clean and the hotel is generally well-maintained and quite nice. I felt that I chose wisely in staying here, as I wanted a nicer hotel while visiting Tunis.
The hotel is in a good location, close to Tunis city and also the airport. The staff are very friendly and they have a good breakfast for the price. The bed was big and comfortable enough and the shower room had nice gels and shampoos.
This is the #1 best hotel in Tunis!
- nice location
- great breakfast
- clean room
- excellent service
Ramzi in service desk is a great value for hotel and he knows everything and gives clients a great help.
