The fact we could get dinner as we wished till 10pm. The location of the property set back on a slight hill but walkable to the boulevard with entertainment.Good beds , clean classical room.. Enough parking next to hotel , safe. Restaurant , food was very good , also good value .

The princely court ruins and St Nicholas church are not to be missed. The centre is great for walking around and the market is a great place to grab a snack. We liked the Municipal museum too. We also enjoyed the Romanian food at La Costica where the locals gather. Curtea de Arges was a great surprise!

Just take local mini bus goeing to Arefu (cost - 6 lei, sheduled every day from 6am till 5pm) and ask to stop near last turn (left, to Arefu). 30 min walk distance to the stair for Poenari.
