The rooms & beds were very comfortable. Hotel is a bit older, but so quaint & comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic! Gabrielle, at front desk, was incredibly helpful & kind. No hesitation to stay here again!

Lillehammer in winter is enchanting - snow covered, charming shops, lots of people around. Walking the town is very interesting - great views of the river valley, interesting architecture. If you like to cross country ski, this is the Mecca! hundreds of kilometers of ski trails nearby, groomed everyday. I was focused on skiing, then an afternoon walk. There are a couple worthy museums. The Olympic Park is a worthwhile climb above town. Otherwise not much entertainment or other sights.

An awesome place to walk into snowy nature.
An awesome place to walk into snowy nature. I wanted snow in the week before Christmas. I was afraid the town would only be suited for ski enthousiast. That was not the case. I made some nice walks into snowy nature in the forest and countryside in and around town. It wasn’t very crowded.
I came to Lillehammer for some old-fashioned Christmas atmosphere. That’s exactly what it provided. A snowy cute town with lights and music everywhere.
The town is dead though after 6 PM. All shops are closed, only restaurants are opened.

Olympic museum was closed ( probably because it was a Monday). I was very disappointed because that was our main reason for visiting. Town is very walkable. Nice to see Olympic ski jump area. Folk museum was closed due to season. Wish they had signs about Olympic venues. We did not know about luge and bobsled track, guessed where skating venue was. Museum should be open more or have resource info available.

Lillehammer is the perfect place for a little getaway if you fancy a stay in a smaller town (but despite the size, it has it all!). Best for it's magical atmosphere leading up to Christmas and for skiing, but lovely any time of year- especially if you're into wintersports, art or just meandering through one of the nicest towns in the country.

Lillehammer is a charming town. Always love to come back.
Lillehammer is a charming town. Always love to come back. Great for walking (even in the snow). Love Maihaugen and the Olympic museum (the Olympics are why I first decided to visit Lillehammer).
I've been there in summer and winter. Could not pick my favorite season. I think one should experience both!

Nice little town even in the autumn when there’s no skiing.
Nice little town even in the autumn when there’s no skiing. A couple of days worth of interesting sights and walks; culture + nature. What’s not to like?
We recommend the little pancake cafe on the Storgard pedestrian street
Excellent location in the town centre with easy access to lots of restaurants and shops in town. Also close to the station. The staff were very helpful and very pleasant. Easy and free parking was the main reason that we chose this hotel. Yes, the parking is free and easy to access. A petrol station is right next door. The bed was very comfortable but what is it with Scandinavian bed clothing? Why have two small duvets when one large one is more comfortable. They must freeze in the winter.
We liked the hotel so much! The staff was very nice and attentive. The room and the hotel as a whole were exceptionally clean. Everything was in order in our room, every last bulb and switch. The breakfast was delicious. And the location was very convenient.
Overall, a very cozy experience. We especially enjoyed the hotel's lobby where you can get a cup of coffee and sip it by the fireplace.
Looking forward to staying there again!
A basic, yet lovely hotel, above the Lillehammer train station.
Check in at the railway station cafe was easy. The room was basic but nice with a view of the trains, plus the lake and the mountains. Bed was comfortable. Shower was ok.
We had no problem with noise from the trains, however we had the window closed.
There is also a communal kitchen/ lounge area, With a microwave, cooktop and an oven.
Scandic Lillehammer hotel was the best choice for staying in Lillehamer. The room was comfortable and clean, the restaurant was fancy and the whole hotel was worth money paid. The stuff was really friendly.
The spa area was clean, silent and relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to all who come to Lillehamer.😁
Modern, clean and very comfortable room for a family (2 adults and a child). Perfect location for visiting Lillehammer only a few minutes walk from train station. The adjoining restaurant is lovely and the food was brilliant - good selection of vegetarian food too. Staff were very friendly and helpful too.
The breakfast was very good. The restaurant was not open in the evening. The hotel had a very central location.
Only a few minutes walk to the nearest restaurants. The famous restaurant "Bryggeri kjelleren ". Only four minutes away.
Everybody visiting Lillehammer should try that restaurant.
We stayed one night in a family room, and three single beds were nicely made available to us. The location in downtown Lillehammer is superb, and ample free parking spaces are available surrounding the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms and common areas are clean.
Great and friendly place to stay with kids, great base for X-Country Skiing with lovely winter walks right from the house. Supermarkets are close in driving distance. Public Bus station close for town explorations & one way hikes!
Cosy home with a grand view for winter & summer!
The hotel is located in the most quiet railroadstation I ever visited. We had a nice room at the 3rd floor. At 2nd floor there is a kitchen free to use for the guests ( some could be better to clean after themselves ). One can get vegan and glutenfree food in the cafe.
Clean, simple, you have towels and body wash, the bathroom is nice.
Breakfast is amazing, better than in many hotels i’ve stayed in. Staff is super super nice. They even let us leave our luggage there while we were exploring Lillehammer.
It was a lovely cosy house on a real part of Lillehammers residential area. It’s nice to be amongst the local people and not in a hotel with other tourists. We were a few minutes walk to the town or the lake. Perfect
We loved the general feel and the location above Lillehammer. Large property with very well trained staff who were always helpful and cheerful. It’s nice they offer breakfast and it had a lot of options.
Clean facilities, well equipped modern kitchen, parking places close to the entrance, good location only 15 minutes away by car from Hafjell ski center. But on top of that a really nice and helpful owner
