Nice for a one-night stay. Hotel is a short walk from a train station. The hot bath area is well-kept, it even has an outdoor bath. And on different floors there were several amenities to make our stay more comfortable.
The room was a bit small (APA Hotel explains it as cost-saving and more eco ;) but nothing too extreme and we had everything we needed in the room itself.

Everything was just exceptional!
The beautiful entrance/lobby. The rooms were clean and really wide. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. And the public bath on the top floor is a nice addition we appreciated. It's very close to the station yet the hotel is in a more quiet area which we preferred. It takes only about 15 minutes by foot to go to the suburban area for food and drinks. Definitely a recommendation for everyone.

Everything are the best in your way. I cannot give the hotel 10/10 because the Chinese name of the hotel is a bit hard to find a map on-line.

Great town. Nice size - big but but very big, small but only incomprison to very big places - ie more laid back than Tokyo and Osaka etc but more going on than a (picturesque) paddy field. Try the Gyu-tongue set ( or go home really, it is the local thing. very nice)

Unfortunately I was thinking of another hotel when I did my initial review so I badly underscored this hotel. My apologies to Hotel GrandBach - it is an outstanding hotel worthy of a 10 and not the 7 I gave it. Beautiful hotel, modern, clean, wonderful atmosphere, great facilities, amazing onsen, live music, free snacks and beverages in the lounge, friendly and helpful staff, easy location - I can’t commend it more.

Sendai is a city that must be visited for several days. Because there are many places to visit.
The city center is modern and more has shopping.
Outside the city there are important historical sites.

Sendai is known as the City of Trees - and for good reason.
Sendai is known as the City of Trees - and for good reason. There's an insane amount of massively large and tall cedar trees everywhere! It's a very easily walkable city and if you need to go to parts beyond there's great transport links, either via the metro, overland train (JR), trams, or even the Sendai City Loople Bus - which takes you around to about a half dozen major attractions - think hop on / hop off.
Must see spots in Sendai are Rinnouji Temple, Zuihoden Mausoleum, Sendai Castle (Aoba Castle), and a little further out of the city (about an hour by train) is Yamadera Temple - not to be missed!
The city is centred around the massive train station in the centre of town and it does not disappoint. There's floors of shopping, restaurants, groceries, fancy food vendors, anything you could want. If you can't find anything in the labyrinthian corridors of the station, venture outside to the over 2500 restaurants and bars. I challenge you to not find something - anything - to satiate yourself with.

I absolutely adored Sendai and will visit again!
I absolutely adored Sendai and will visit again! The only problem that we had was the heat and humidity during the middle of September limited what we could do, but we made the most of our time at the Sendai train station-shopping!, the trees in the area were beautiful (I can see why they call it city of trees), we road the buses quite a bit (air conditioning) so we got to see quite a bit of the city, and made the most of the mall that was near the train station. Felt VERY SAFE there, the only con that I could say would be that unlike Tokyo, there were not to many people who spoke English but we expected that because our daughter works there, however she did most of the translating and figuring out the yen to buy things was actually quite easy, except for the coins. Navigating the trains was pretty easy, the people there knew some english and were quite helpful. It was a wonderful place to do it, very pretty and we will go again next year.
Relaxing atmosphere and comfortable room. The desk for working with computer is spacious. The bathtub is larger than usual compared to other Japanese hotels.
Breakfast is ok. Wide type of amenities, and iron for free. Highly qualified staff.
Tenza Hotel is near the main train station of Sendai and also a subway stop. Perfect location for both a business trip or tourism. Very well connected to Tohoku University by subway. Many restaurants nearby, including one in the hotel.
The hotel is located close to Sendai station where you can get the metro, local JR trains and Shinkansen. The staff was great and spoke well enough English. The hotel and the room were clean and fairly new. We appreciated that there was a desk in the room and enough sockets. The best part was certainly the breakfast, which included an amazingly big choice of Japanese delicacies.
Breakfast was a good spread of both Western and Japanese food. There were many shops and restaurants nearby. Its a bit of a walk from Sendai Station but still walkable. The bus to Yamagata was just diagonally across the street. The staff were helpful and friendly. Love that there was an onsen in the hotel and it was super nice to use it with the cold winter weather.
When we booked non-smoking room was not available so we had to book a smoking room but the smoking room we got didn't smell like cigarette at all which we assumed that it was well cleaned and maintained! The hotel was right next to Sendai station and the shopping mall which was very convenience for us to travel around tohoku area using Sendai as a hub.
I forgot belongings from another hotel. I requested the hotel to coordinate with the hotel at I forgot belongings. And then I received the belongings before checking out. I am very happy. I would to very thank you the hotel for their help. The hotel is in a convenient location, close to JR Sendai, only 300 meters. Clean room, free food, recommended.
Room was pretty spacious and very clean. Also liked that they provided a lot of amenities (makeup remover, facial wash, lotion, etc.)
Location was a bit far from Sendai station but it wasn't that big of an issue for us since we could explore the shopping streets every time we're heading back to the hotel.
Close to Sendai Station and in the main shopping street - convenient location and late checkin available. Standout features are the excellent designed capsules, with the standard size being larger than most other capsule hotels I've been to; and the onsen available to use.
The staff, facilities, room, bathroom, breakfast buffet and lounge area were all fantastic. Great value for money! Will definitely be recommending Hotel Keihan for those wanting to stay in Sendai. Probably the best hotel I've stayed in so far in Japan.
The hotel is near to Sendai train station. Easy walking distance there.
The 'onsen' in the hotal is great and I enjoyed it very much.
The breakfast is decent based on the price
Overall, a good hotel to stay to explore Sendai
This hotel is exactly what we have come to expect from superior Japanese hospitality! Spotlessly clean, comfortable, quiet, and charming, with an exceptional hotel staff. Free tea, coffee, and snacks in the lobby every day.
The room is big and very clean. Love the bathroom because it’s very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is a must try. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. Location is great because it is in Sendai station.
The hotel has a European motif, the location was perfect close to everything. The breakfast has a variety of choices. It was satisfying . Overall I would recommend it, and definitely love to stay again.
The hotel is conveniently located next to Sendai train station and the price is cheaper than other similarly located hotels nearby. Security is excellent and better then higher grade hotels.
Nice reasonable place to stay in Sendai city. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I stayed during the Sendai Tanabatta festival and the hotel was very near the festival location!
