The location was awesome, the host spent decent time with all the guests by conducting games, efforts on taking us to the coffee tours and couple.private streams, camp fires, music, all was good in the middle of the coffee estate.
The location was very pleasant and the telescope was available to watch the moon from the terrace, this estate was at least 100 years old and well maintained, all other staff were super friendly. Had decent wifi all the time. If you want to get lost in the woods, come here. bhadra tiger reserve is around 15 mins in car and have maladhur shootimg spot and sunset view points, just njoy the locations and games for kids available in th property, my 9 years old son liked the property very much as he won the coffee pack in the housy game hosted by Ryan with the sarbath in th hand.
I would strongly recommend trying this once, they do have other properties called Writers Retreat, this is even super kool property behind this.

Food is exceptional. The food served by the hostess is far too good compared to any other food that I ate during my tour of Karnataka. The food including the masalas are freshly prepared. We had the fish curry for lunch and green chicken curry for dinner. Spice levels are on the higher side so if you are averse to spicy food you will have to ask the hostess to tone it down. I highly recommend that you try these homecooked meals at least once if not everyday (time permitting).
The homestay itself is a 1960's house with Koba style floor and evokes the looks of days gone by. It has Manglorian tile roof and 2 rooms with verandah. There is also an attic for dorm style sleeping accommodating upto 8 above.
The property is about 7 km from Chikmagalur proper so if you intend to eat outside plan it in advance. Since the property has its own mini coffee plantation it is nice and cozy.

Its a beautiful place to stay amidst the greenary.
The owner and the staff were very polite and helpfull.
They had a variety of items for dinner and breakfast which were super delicious.
We saw the beautiful sunrise from the hills and had a tour of their coffee plantation early in the morning.
It was the best stay of our trip.

Amazing location and trust me that's what this homestay is all about. Surrounded by coffee plantation and jungle all around one gets that feel of adventure. The open air badminton Court is a different experience. The dining area is too good ..the dinner here with a bonfire and music of your choice would make one miss this stay.
