Very exciting little town with an authentic charm. The food and the wine are exquisite wherever you go, people are friendly and hospitable. I will return for sure to hike more around and eat more khachapuri and khinkali.

To be honest-it' just for hardcore travellers or backpackers yet. It's not an easy destination, they still need to improve in many ways. The people are very kind - but they are poor. There is rubbish everywhere - Sad to see it. But they are working on it, more and more attracions open every year for you to discover. The mountains are beautyful. If you don't expect too much, please support Georgia with your travel and money.

Great place especially the bridge & restaurants by the river .. 160 km away Uplistsikhe Cave Town is a must if travelling between TBILISI & KUTAISI. Food and restaurants are excellent in both. Ambience is great.
The flat is new and very well equipped with spacious lounge. Very secure with courtyard and gate and quiet. Lovely people.
Very good place to chill out in. We were a couple and a Lady friend. Thank you. We were only there 2 days but will return.

The city is nice, but to be honest after time I regret that we did not went first to Batumi or Tibilisi. For me personally, this city is good but for 1 or max. 2 days of sightseeing, after more time I would get bored. The city is very old, sometimes you can feel that it is still not so adapted to the tourism. Nice place for people that are facinated about history and old buildings. Maybe in the summer it has more to offer. We went in March when there was nothing much to do.

To see:
To see:
Prometheus Cave (it is not as touristy as the negative reviews I read, and most of the caves are lit by white light with some colored lights so you see the natural rock colors - it is awesome, the size and formations)
Motsameta Monastery (beautiful, small, on a mountain with a frescoed church and views of more of the Caucasus and river...I heard Gelati is great too but did not see it)
Bagrati's Cathedral and the surrounding ruins, including kvevrebi (clay wine jars in the ground)
Kutaisi Botanical Garden (Bagrati is on the way to this, depending on where you stay), 5 lari admission fee (bring small bills - I found out not everyone has change for 100 lari)...beautiful and with an Orthodox shrine in a tree!
Bukioti (small, colorful cafe with cacao and of course coffee, tea, hot chocolate, as well as achma (a type of khachapuri made with puff pastry) and the best desserts (lava cake, apple dessert which is an air-fried apple filled with nuts and raisins, both topped with vanilla ice cream, and others)
El Paso restaurant - good khinkali
Kolkha Fountain that is in the city center (gold-toned animals with 2 horses on top and a lit in different colors at night)

Beautiful city. It was clean, friendly people.
Beautiful city. It was clean, friendly people. The food was amazing. We went during the winter so the snow was great and everything was running smoothly. Most of the places to visit are at most 1 hour away. Would recommend to go with the local tour guide rather than driving yourself just because the streets and signals are not clear for a foreigner. Food and ticket entries are very affordable. For a trip for a family of 5 people, we did not waste more than 1000 euros
very nice and cozy family owned/ operated hotel in Kutaisi.
it is a small but wonderful house where the owner Thames personally care of you . they are very helpful in everything you need. rooms are comfortable and very clean, on demand you can have room service every day. breakfast is tasty , and every day different , prepared directly for you. pick up from the airport is offered and I was very grateful for. thank you very much for making the journey so wonderful! keep going in doing what you do and how you do ! thank you 😀
The BEST HOTEL IN KUTAISI!!! This place was clean, well located next to a beautiful monastery that has the best views of Kutaisi, and well priced! The breakfast was AMAZING!!!! Hands down the best breakfast we had during our 8 day road trip through Georgia. The gentleman at the front desk even cooked for us at 7:30 AM (breakfast is typically between 8:30a - 10a), since we had an early flight. A perfect way to end our trip to Georgia, I highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in Kutaisi. Thank you!!
The staff were so nice, they helped me in everything. Hostel was very clean, bed was very comfortable, building had good sound isolation. They had fast wifi and also working space in the front building. I did not know where to eat good breakfast in Kutaisi so I decided to add money and enjoy their breakfast in the most beautiful Hut. It was delicious. city centre was near, i could walk from hotel. If I'll need to go to Kutaisi again, I already know where I'll stay.
The hotel is located only 5 mins away from the city center and close to Railway station.Very clean place, could not explore much of their facilities since we stayed only for 1 night but the front desk staff are extremely helpful and informative. They guide you with extreme patience especially if you are new to the city. I would definitely come back and stay at the same place if I ever visit Kutaisi in future.
Excellent location, five minutes' walk from the main square. Quiet street, good neighborhood, nice yard. Rooms, bathroom, lounge clean, tidy and very nicely furnished. The owners Ljudmila and Aleksander are hospitable and friendly. They help us to find taxi to airport, and check it early in the morning. Top place for stay in Kutaisi. Best recommendations for Bubu Guesthouse..
We loved staying here. Location is the best thing about this hotel, this is the area where you want to be in when visiting Kutaisi. It's a family hotel so you get to see them going about their normal day and always greeting and smiling when they see guests. Vlad was very helpful and offered to take us to the airport for a really good price. We will for sure stay here again.
I never expect the warmhearted welcome they provide to the guests.. The owner is very friendly approachable and super accommodating with all i needed. I would highly recommended this hotel for the first time travelling to Kutaisi. Walking distance to city, market, church and tourist spot. Breakfast is well serviced. I would love to come back again!
The description of Sanapiro Hotel is very simple. Everything was perfect! Hotel facilities, rental car, pick-up at the airport, language skills of the staff, great breakfast! I have nothing to complain about. The staff are family and we felt like we were related to them. I hope that we will return to Kutaisi and especially to the Sanapiro Hotel.
It is located in the city center close to the central market.
Hotel is clean and affordable. They do have airport transfer at affordable price. Look for Mr.Ucha (hotel driver) he took us for a tour within & outside kutaisi at a very affordable price plus he can speak basic english too.
The hotel attendant Ms.Nana is very accomodating as well.
Super clean room and beautiful facilities. Excellent location 1 block away from the main square. The place is very quiet and I rested very well in my room. The bed is super comfortable. The owner is super friendly and welcoming, she picked me up at rhe airport late at night and brought to the hotel. BIG THANKS for my excellent stay!
A good hotel in the very centre of the town. Good quality for normal price. The woman owner is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we had to stay only half day and half night, after that went to the airport. The shuttle was organised by the owner (3 am). When coming to Kutaisi next time, we plan to stay in the same hotel
Our 2 nights were fantastic. The room was with nice interior and cleaned twice. We had a delicious breakfast with a different choice every day. And MOST importantly the staff were sooo friendly and responsive to us. If you want to experience truly Georgian hospitality in Kutaisi, this hotel will be your best choice 😊
Excellent location - close to the airport with one free ride to it (about 10 minutes). The driver was waiting for me with a sign with my name in the arrivals lobby. Staff of the hotel was very nice and helpful. Room comfortable with all needed amenities. I highly recommend to stay here to all travellers.
Nino was an excellent host, helpful if you need some info about Kutaisi/Georgia. No problem if you arrive during the night, they offer an airport pickup, and it's not that expensive either. The rooms are nice and clean, and the breakfast is good enough.
The Hotel was right beside the Kutaisi Amusement Park with cable car will take you right into the town center. Park around was the best thing my daughter liked in this entire trip. Facilities are all good.
Hotel is really very nice and Hotel staff Levani and Juba came us to pick-up in kutaisi Airport at midnight 3 o clock.
We are comfortably stayed here and really recommend thus Hotel in Kutaisi.

Very good breakfast
Helpful staff and great service
