The highlight was the Cotswold lamb dinner. It was delicious and the presentation was lovely. Worth the stay alone.

Quaint pub and small hotel with garden terrace for drinks. Our twin room #4 was very nicely appointed, comfortable beds, and excellent amenities in the room. Very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our one night stay very much.

Great meals, the road is on a main road but heard very little road noise from the room

I was all ready to be disappointed, because this hotel was a back-up to where we were supposed to stay. We were fortunate, because this hotel was nice. The place was clean, updated, peaceful, and relaxing.

It could almost be thought of as the poor relation of the Cotswolds, but only compared to the more glamorous neighbours, Bourton on the Water and Broadway, but it is a very good centre for touring the area and has easy free parking, good shops and good restaurants.

A Beautiful Traditional English Town.
A Beautiful Traditional English Town. The building and architecture are full of history, the shops in the town are filled with art/antiques, plenty of restaurants, cafes, charity shops, local craft and gifts too, so there’s plenty to explore and do.

Moreton in Marsh was quintessentially English and very aesthetic. Full of pleasant eateries and antique shops. People were polite and said hello as you passed in the street. Extremely close to other places of interest and quaint villages that you could either wander around or make a brisk walk from.

Great little town in the Cotswolds with lots of intersting places to go to surrounding it. The town itself doesn't have a particularly busy high streeet but Stow on the Wold is only a few minutes drive away and has some lovely shops to mooch around. Lots of lovely walks in the area and some great hotels to be based in.

We visited the Batsford Arboretum for lunch.
We visited the Batsford Arboretum for lunch. It was raining, so we didn't walk through the Arboretum. There weren't as many shops as I was expecting for the size of the town, but it's not far to Stow-On-The-Wold

This was a great base for exploring the region.
This was a great base for exploring the region. Easy access to the train from London and then from there I could take different buses to explore, hire a guide or if I had a car I could have explored that way.

The hotel was perfectly situated on the main street through the town but it was VERY quiet. The hotel itself was full of old charm. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was pleasant. The lawn was beautiful and I loved going for walks around the hotel. The room I stayed in was small which was okay since it was just me. The shower was great. The food was okay (I only ate breakfast there) and the amenities were on par with other historic hotels I've stayed in. Also, it was close to the train station.
It was the best holiday home we've ever been to! Every detail has been carefully considered, cutlery, bedding, towels and toiletries, including small things, like the logs for the fireplace and matches - the hosts even left a welcome basket for us of local goodies. The environment is charming, historic details have been carefully maintained and one could read about the history of the house. We will certainly visit again!
Ate out for dinner so n/a
Room and bathroom were tiny, one of smallest bathrooms we have ever had in a hotel and although the bedroom had everything we needed the normal sized double bed took up most of the floor area
Breakfast was adequate and nicely presented but I wanted smashed avocado and they didn't have any avocados on a week when they were expecting to be very busy for Cheltenham Festival
Hotel right in the centre of Moreton-in-Marsh. Lovely large comfortable bed in a big room very nicely furnished. Nice touches such as sherry in room, together with bottled water and luxury toiletries. Parking available a rear. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had Sunday lunch which was excellent and plentiful as was breakfast the next day. Definitely return without hesitation
Wonderful little cottage in a brilliant location! close to bourton on the water which was lovely to walk around and some wonderful pubs to visit just behind the cottage on the high street. Lovely and clean and such comfy sofas! A tv in every room was a bonus and VERY comfortable beds! I would gladly stay here again such a cosy place which felt very homely!
The flat was very clean, comfy, and beautifully decorated with nice touches like Netflix and Nespresso pods - excellent location right in the centre of Moreton in Marsh with a variety of walks from the doorstep and a good choice of lovely places to eat. The host was communicative and helpful. The bed was so comfy!
It was inconvenient. Narrow uneven hallways, hot and stuffy rooms, food was fast food, it was extremely hot and stuffy in the room, staircase was short and narrow and deep, the hallway floor was uneven.
The staff was very helpful but the hotel itself is not convenient for guests.
Ask for a room on the garden, otherwise your on a road. It was ok though. The only problem was the carpet was so grubby. If the carpet is replaced I would rate this property higher. I booked it without reading reviews. It was fine and I generally liked the location.
Walnut Cottage is a stunning, luxury, cosy cottage centrally located in Moreton in Marsh.
We loved the log fire, lovely decor, furnishings, comfy beds and courtyard garden. Perfect for a couple or small family - note the staircase is steep and narrow.
The staff at the White Hart Royal went above and beyond during our stay. We had the best birthday we could have asked for and were so touched by their thought and kindness.
We will be sure to spread the word about this fantastic hotel!
I thought the food served in the restaurant was very good. The staff were also really friendly and approachable. Easy access to the station from the hotel and the high street had a nice selection of shops.
