There is so much to see in Valtice that one day was not...
There is so much to see in Valtice that one day was not enough for us. If you rush you may get it all in but it would not be enjoyable. We traveled in the off season and it was beautiful. Valtice is a small city with a pittoresque main square and a beautiful castle. Most of the buildings have been renovated and kept the historic style. There is a laid back atmoshhere as the town is not too touristic. Cycle tracks are leading through vineyards to Ledice and Mikulov. But there are also good train connections

It is not just Valtice but three cities that are close to each other - Valtice, Lednice and Mikulov. Beautiful castles, huge gardens, a lot to see by walking, riding bicycles or using a horse carriage. Historic sites that are marked by UNESCO as a European garden.

It's far enough from the town to experience silence, appreciate fresh air and walks in the surrounding vineyards. breakfasts are served in a nice space. modern design, good quality furniture both in the room and common areas. free parking in front of the property. good location for stargazing, if you own a telescope you might think of bringing it with you :)

The swimming pool with a view at the castle and the village was the absolute highlight. The staff was very friendly and always happy to help. We were also able to rent bikes from the hotel for a decent price. Would highly recommend and hope to come back in the future!

The breakfast was excellent- plentiful and varied choices. The hotel is in an excellent situation- away from the noise of the main square but close enough to walk into the center of town easily. The kitchen is equipped with everything you can possibly need (3 ways to make a coffee!) and if you didn't get enough in the town during the day, you can grab a wine from a wine fridge.
