Gardens & location were incredible. Loved, loved the 3-mile walk down to lower slaughter and back using the public foot path, etc. Loved just being on property & just enjoying, relaxing and soaking up the grounds, sunshine, flowers, lambs/sheep!
Food - both breakfasts & dinners in The Dining Room were fantastic. (Chicken, cod and mint risotto w prawns)
Bar - drinks and wine offerings very good.
The outdoor spaces were plentiful & comfortable. Liked talking to Mike the Gardner.

The room was so inviting and comfortable. The mattresses and sheets were comfortable and nice quality. Our little attic room was as idyllic as the village. The breakfast was fantastic, and had a lot of variety.

It was a real pleasure to to stay at this very elegant historic hotel which can I say holds accurate and precise measures in the current covid drama. I wouldn't hesitate staying here again as I felt so assured measures were being done to protect staff and guests alike. I came with my mum as we are both facing stressful lives personal matters and we really felt like this was a haven retreat to de stress and forget life for the time we were there. We took the delicious and hearty cream tea, dined for our evening meal (please be aware you must book for both as they fill up quickly) all ecceeded our expectations with quality and taste. We look forward to coming back again.

Great location, beautiful village all within easy walking distance or longer walking tracks available. Lovely old mill and church. Picturesque and a Ford that children were playing in, not a lot of traffic.
Restaurant at Lords of the Manor great.

It's an expensive hotel in a popular tourist location and sometimes the staff in these types of hotels can be a bit unwelcoming in an effort to make it seem exclusive. Not the case here. I was very pleasantly surprised by a warm and homely type of welcome that you normally only get from smaller family run hotels. I noticed that other guests were treated in a similar way. It felt like whoever we were, wherever we had come from and whatever the reason for our stay we were all welcomed and invited to relax and make ourselves at home.
The idyllic location; the beautifully landscaped grounds; the professional, friendly, attentive staff; the quality food and beverage (bonus points for being able to get cappuccinos); the multitude of places to sit and enjoy the property, both inside and out; the pleasant mile or so ramble from the property down to Lower Slaughter, which offers two options for dining/drinks; the feeling of quiet and seclusion yet only 5-15 minutes from towns with shops- the best of all worlds.
A really lovely picturesque country house hotel which has a very welcoming friendly feel. The rooms were beautifully dressed and maintained to a high standard. The staff were so attentive they operate as well run team and nothing was too much trouble. The food and level of service in the restaurants was exceptional whilst the fine dining tasting menu was truly an amazing experience. A fabulous stay to celebrate a birthday.
This is a lovely hotel. It has such a homey feeling. Every detail is attended to. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is very clean. The multiple public spaces are comfortable and welcoming. It is luxurious in a comfy country way so much so that I feel very at home here. It has plenty of parking. The food is excellent. Be sure to treat yourself to dinner in the main restaurant. It is top tier.
The property itself is incredibly picturesque and has amazing views. The interior is very cozy as well. Also the location is perfect for walking through both Upper and Lower Slaughters. But the staff is what makes Lords of the Manor truly memorable. They are extremely warm and helpful, always making sure we had what we needed. They truly made our stay and we look forward to returning.
Outstanding Breakfast, including a full compliment of Gluten Free items. Dining area and sitting rooms are inviting and comfortable. Surrounded by history and the true feeling of being in an English Manor House. The location in Upper Slaughter is charming and makes one want to buy a small stone cottage and move there. Reception and Staff.... superb!
I can’t say enough good things about this property. This is a stunning manor house with beautiful decor and surroundings. The room was large and beautifully updated and furnished. The staff is excellent. I enjoyed my visit so much and will be back as soon as I can. Highly recommend.
This is an excellent hotel. We have stayed many times but not for a few years now. Lovely comfortable rooms, great bed and the location is idilic!
The new restaurant menu is very good and a little less formal than before which is to our liking.
We will return soon.
The hotel is old and beautiful with nice gardens and grounds. The staff are awesome, helpful, happy and efficient. Room was quirky, comfortable and considering it was very cold out side just about warm enough.
We enjoyed the meals too.
We liked almost everything about this hotel. The level of service provided by the staff was outstanding. The location in a small, quiet, non-market town is ideal. The building, decor, and grounds are all spectacularly beautiful.
The welcome was lovely, with all the staff making the hotel feel like a home from home.
The property and grounds are immaculate and the location is perfect for exploring the Cotswolds.
We were upgraded because I had mentioned it was a special occasion.
The staff were exceptional as I would expect for a hotel of this caliber.
We will be returning.
