The drinks were a bit hit and miss. Some cocktails were well mixed and others weren’t. Would have enjoyed to cruise on the main boat around Halong Bay a little more. We used the transfer boat to go out into the bay and meet the cruise. Which stayed around the same area. Would have liked to relax on the balcony whilst cruising back to port - or at least part way

Cabin was a good size and perfectly equipped. Stunning free standing bath with view out over the bay. Balcony was lovely for a morning cup of tea. So glad we chose a boat with a pool. After kayaking we spent the afternoon relaxing there. Tom, Maya and the rest of the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was buffet style for lunch with tasting menu for dinner. Fantastic standard of food.

The day before our cruise, Big Bay Group reached out via email to tell us that our bathroom was broken on the Peony cruise and were changing us to a Mon Cheri boat. While our room was an upgrade on Mon Cheri, it still was a surprise at the last minute and having not been on a Peony boat, I'm still not sure whether they're equivalent in quality.

The cruise operator, Big Bay Group, seems to run all of their ships similarly, so even though we didn't end up staying on a Peony boat ( we were on Mon Cheri), I'm sure Peony has a very professional staff, excellent food, and a nice itinerary to keep you entertained. Mon Cheri gave us an upgraded room due to the inconvenience, so that was great, and they surprised us with special decorations for our honeymoon.

Everything was great.

The boat itself was one of the nicest in the bay (if not the nicest). The first time you open the courtains, you are blown away by the view. The crew is absurdly attentive and helpful. The amount of food available is just obscene (especially during the daytrips). The activities are well recommended (Cat Ba is definitely worth seeing). I think the best option is a 2 night cruise - attend the daytrip on day 2 and stay onboard on day 3. Thank me later :)

We were lucky to have an upgrade to The Mon Chéri which was an amazing boat and we wish we had another night! The staff were out of this world and went out of their way to make sure your stay was good. Our waiter Windy was such a lovely guy and always served us with a smile! The food was to die for. They constantly feed you and it’s such high quality food that even if you’re full you go back for more. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and the view from the bath took our breath away. If I would have to book a cruise again I would book this one, it would be worth the splurge.

Cocktails are overpriced.

Everything worked out as planned. From the beginning till the end we were always informed about the schedule and what we are doing next snd when. The staff were realls friendly ans professional. We did a lot of activities together which was fun. Even though the schedule was rich with many things it did not feel like we were rushed. The food was amazing and the rooms are comfy of course with great view. Halong Bay was a total dream and we are happy that we selected Peony Cruise for this trip.

We would absolutely recommend Peony Cruises! There are so many cruise ships operating around Ha Long Bay (too many really), but we chose Peony Cruises because the boat wasn't as big and the itinerary went to the less busy area of Lan Ha Bay. Yes we could have found something less expensive, but this cruise was well worth the extra cost.

The amount of plastic seen floating in the sea and around the islands such a shame something needs to be done before travellers stop coming.

The boat was amazing and the bedroom was out of this world wow….it was so large and very bright due to all the glass. The balcony was so relaxing wish we had booked 2 night now!

It’s quite thin walls so you can hear everything. The night I stayed a few ppl were really loud and it was really hard to sleep. Also it was really expensive. Compared with the rest of Vietnam. I know it’s for tourists but the value for money is just bad compared

The cruise round Lan Ha Bay took us to some unspoilt spots where we could kayak and explore. We’d love to come back one day and would recommend this to anyone

Due to the weather which was light rain but quite cool in the evenings it would have been nice to have the option of sitting indoors for pre and post dinner drinks.

We cannot praise this cruise highly enough. We were picked up by luxury coach from our hotel in Hanoi on time and transported to Halong Bay departure area. We were checked in efficiently and took the smaller boat out to our cruise ship. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the wonderful team of staff. We had been upgraded the night before to a larger cabin on a different boat. Our cabin was wonderful and we had our own balcony and bath with jacuzzi. We could sit on the balcony or indeed in the bath and watch the magical scenery of Halong Bay pass by. The weather was overcast with drizzly rain but did not unduly spoil our experience of Halong Bay. There was good heating in the room. The food was delicious and as a vegetarian I was well looked after. The staff always ensured I was happy with my meal and gave me choices. Happy Hour on the top deck was a bonus, although the weather sadly meant relaxing in the sunshine was not to be. The staff were impeccable in their hosting skills, I felt quite emotional when we were leaving and they all stood and waved us goodbye. Remy, Jasmine, Ryann, Ducky and Tam absolutely made this an experience to remember. The whole crew should be praised for their professionalism.
