The "limo services" back to Hanoi were far from professional and very dubious. The Capella brand should either use better people or dissociate completely from them. Have a car rented if nothing better is available.

That things like karaoke are not included in the price and how expensive pick up and drop off is. Much cheaper to organise your own transport. We bought bus tickets from 12Go Asia for £10pp return and they wanted us to pay $45pp return!

The cruise is perfect!! Gorgeous interior and great activities. The food was UNREAL!!! Some of the best food we have had in Vietnam. Big shoutout to Chris and his team for making it a great experience. Definitely one of the best cruises we saw as we sailed. This cruise is good for couples and friends who want a more chilled experience with brill facilities and food.

I am a coeliac and was told ‘G’ meant gluten free, only to find out after being horribly ill (for 2 days) that ‘G’ actually meant contains gluten. ‘G’ or Gf is usually the universal sign for gluten free, if the kitchen staff or wait staff had a better understanding of this then it would have been clearer and I would not have been so ill.

This was the most wonderful cruise we have ever been on! Words can´t describe it, you must come and experience it on your own. Everything is perfectly organized, all the staff are very friendly and trying to do the best for your satisfaction. Even though the weather wasn´t the best during our stay we absolutely loved every single minute of this cruise. Our cabin was just a dream and I almost didn´t want to leave it. They offer lots of different activities, the bay views are totally impressive and the food they serve here is very delicious. The only thing I would change is cruising time. Like the ship was anchored most of the time but I guess they have a reason for that. Also wi-fi didn´t work very well but honestly who would want to be online when you´re in such an amazing place! Highly recommend you to choose Capella for your Halong Bay cruise.

The staff was very friendly, helpful, and wanted to ensure that you have a wonderful experience. The food was of excellent quality and the diner was an amazing experience. All the facilities were clean and fresh towels are available. Lastly, the iternary contains a great program with a great variety of activities.

The staff wasn’t very welcoming (especially the receptionist Jenny) and whenever we asked for anything, they didn’t seem interested to address our queries or issues whole heartedly. It looked a little fake or maybe its just me but just expressing my personal feeling. My wife loved the experience but I personally didnt find it worth the money spent on a Sky suite.

The food options were very limited for non seafood eaters. On the first lunch more than half of the buffet wasn’t available for one of the guests which made food options limited and pretty uninspiring. The dinner was also a set menu with only one option which was very restricting, with some odd flavour combinations (sea bass with banana purée)

The staff were all super friendly and polite and made the stay very enjoyable. They all made a special effort to make sure everyone had fun either with the kayaking, the evening cooking course, evening entertainment ect. The ship itself was very clean and the rooms were comfortable with beautiful views of the bay.

If you didn’t like the prix fixe dinner it didn’t seem like there were alternatives. My father couldn’t eat one of the courses and it was skipped altogether. The drawers constantly slid open. There was no latch to hold them closed.

Although the quality of the food was excellent, some of the set menu dinner items were questionable. We did the 3 day/2 night tour but as you are picking up and dropping off people doing the 1 night tour - you really just go back and forward to the same places / along the same route each day - would have liked to see more of the bays than just this repeated route.

Absolutely beautiful boat, with very lovely staff. We stayed in the sky deck family room, which was large, well-appointed, and very comfortable for our family. Ha Long Bay was stunning, and we had great weather, so the water temperature was perfect, and the included tours were fun.

I highly recommend the cruise to everyone! 1. The cruise is new, spacious and comfortable 2. The food is really nice 3. The crew members are sooooo considerable and energetic. I can feel that they serve every customer from the bottom of their heart. The crew members are definitely the core spirit of the trip. Also thanks to Tom, he is a good manager and a host for introducing the stories behind the scenes. 4. The Christmas activities are so warm and cute!! Overall, the trip is beyond my expectation. Staff were incredibly friendly / kind / enthusiastic. They work very long hours (we later found out for 3 weeks in a row before a day off) - but never show any sign of being tired, they are always dedicated to the guests - really lovely and impressive. The boat was very clean and excellently presented (even more impressive considering the rapid turn over of guests) The boat has a small pool onboard which is good for those worried about swimming in open water. Food (Particularly evening meal) was really excellent. If you have the time and money to- opt for the 3 day/2 night tour as this gives you the chance to go on a speedboat trip to an island (and more time to enjoy the excellent ship!)
