Khanh (Kevin) was AMAZING! He was very attentive and made sure we were always 100% happy whilst onboard Dorris. He had excellent English and answered any of our questions. He always greeted us with a smile and provided a very positive and personalised service to us. We love Khanh! James was also really helpful on board! He knows all the facts about Ha Long Bay. Big spacious rooms with AC and balcony. The crew constantly fed us with yummy and delicious food.

Food could be improved, but I think it is quite the same on all the boats!

Okay since I searched for hours for the right boat, let me make a detailed review: This boat is great! First: you are one of only 40 boats (compared to Halong Bay 200 night cruises and 200 day cruises) who stay in Lan ha Bay. Second: the staff is great, sooo friendly! (Especially Katie and Michel helped us a lot and where absolutely the best! Third: Rooms are soo nice. Please stay 2 nights, the day trip with the smaller boat (8.00-16.30) is really nice and you can see more of the amazing views! For us it was never crowded! Even viet hai village was never crowded, it was a very nice day trip! It isn't too expensive compared to other boats! Food is okay, but even for vegetarians they always had a lot of options! Drink prices on the boat is like 70k Dong for one beer (which is not cheap but okay). Doris cruise is the way to go! Stop comparing and searching, just book it already 😊 We loved our stay here!

The boat itself is outdated, but nice and clean. Overall, the property itself was great. What was sad was the rubbish that dotted the bays. I think the businesses should push the local gov’t to come up with strict and aggressive efforts to clean up Ha Long and Lan Ha.

Food options were aplenty. We were also assigned to Katie and she explained the meal situations with us. Very cute smile every time. The rest of the staff were always helpful; Michael, Brian, etc. It was a wonderful experience.

Despite it being a nature reserve we were shocked by the amount of floating litter. The staff mentioned it a number of times and gave various reasons, but it did put us off. One of tge activities on our day trip was swimming, but almost nobody did because of the rubbish and water quality. Very sad.

The crew were exceptional, especially our butler Brian. They went out of their way to ensure we had the most relaxing stay. The boat itself was well appointed, and was comforble for the number of guests. The food was good with a wide variety.

What a great stay it was! Our cabin was lovely, waking up with curtains opened and opening your eyes on such a beautiful nature is priceless As for the boat, we didn’t expect such a nice style and space. Even fully booked, it never felt overcrowded as passengers on a 1 night cruise are most of the time on a different schedule than the ones on a 2-night cruise, which they manage very well. There is jacuzzi at the front which the size of a small swimming pool. Food was good with many choices. And last but not the least: the kindness and the attention of the staff, with a special mention to Kevin who took care of us all along including keeping on informing and reassuring me with regards to my food allergies. Excellent experience. Thank you!

Staff excellent very helpful throughout the cruise. Especially Tony who really made the cruise special. Despite raining for a significant portion, activities on boats and swimming were still available and fun as the water was warm even when it was raining.

Did not expect to go with a smaller boat for 1 hour to the main cruise ship. Also the bus they offer- I do not recommend. Old and very slow.
