Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LatviaWalls seems to be made of paper, you can hear every move and word of people in neighbour room or in the hall, all the noise from the street. That makes it hard to have decent sleep. Mold in the bathroom.
The best thing about the hotel is the staff, they are very helpful and provide good service. Location is perfect for exploring main attractions by walk. Good breakfast

United KingdomThe bathroom had a drainage smell which someone came to fix but there was still slight smell left. I kept the door a little ajar and it was fine. The hotel staff weren’t really friendly and seemed miserable.
The room was big enough and clean. Need some work done but it was absolutely fine for me. The location was great right next to Gulhane tram station

United KingdomBreakfast could have more variety.
Located in the centre of Istanbul tourist attractions . 10 mins walk to blue mosque and Hagia Sophia mosque. Tram station 2 mins away. A lot of food restaurants and small businesses outside the hotel. The hotel staff was welcoming and helpful. Room was clean on arrival and was kept well maintained when housekeeping cleaned. Breakfast was good too with basics. Overall it was great

GermanyThe hotel is located in one of the most touristic areas of Istanbul, with easy access to restaurants, shopping areas, public transportation and walking distance to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. The staff was polite and helpful with different recommendations. The spa is great after a long walking day, offering a sauna, a Turkish bath, a steam sauna and a pool. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options. The rooms were sparkling clean and comfortable enough to recharge your batteries for the next day of exploring the city. The hotel staff offered the option of a private transfer to the airport which is much better than using a taxi or public transportation.

United KingdomNot much to say apart from having to wait more than 1 hour for a booked massage when their staff did not turn up.
Great location to nearly restaurants and attractions, very tidy family room, very welcoming, decent breakfast. Kids loved the swimming pools after hours of walking around this beautiful city. Mr Irfuk at the reception desk was always very helpful during our stay. Bottled water replenished daily.

GreeceThe WiFi signal sometimes wasn't strong in the 4th floor. Also, if you are a big family, I recommend booking two rooms instead of a family one, as the family room was kinda small for 4 grownups. Perfect size for parents with small children though.
The location was perfect and the staff and service excellent. Everyone was extremely polite and helpful, and they checked us in at the time of our arrival, even though we arrived earlier than 2 pm. We strongly recommend their transportation service to the airport, as it was very convenient, prompt, and the vehicle was in perfect condition. The breakfast was really nice. The room was cleaned every day, he towels were changed every time, and they offered complementary bottled water. The pool, the sauna and the hamam were free for every guest, clean and never crowded. The location was also very convenient, as it is really close to Agia Sophia, Top Capi and other monuments. I believe that it is the greatest value for money stay and I strongly recommend it!

United States of AmericaLike other reviews said, walls were a little thin, and you could hear stuff from other rooms and trams going outside, etc. But it tended to quiet down as it got later, so it wasn't a huge issue for me as I went to bed late anyway and use a sound machine. The room had no natural light, but it was specified in the booming and was cheaper than other rooms. I didn't mind since I was always out in the city most of the day anyway. Kids are allowed in the Hamam, and if you get a particularly loud group (like I did one night), it is impossible to have a relaxing time. The bathroom fan made a weird resonating noise that bothered my ears when standing inside the shower with the doors closed, but that could just be me. WiFi was outrageously slow, so don't plan on doing work. I only used it over mobile data to conserve my data.
After a disaster at another hotel and booking this one last minute, everything went super smoothly with my stay. Check-in was easy, and the staff were nice and helpful. The room was small, but still bigger than some others I've seen in Istanbul. Beds were comfortable, and the AC, at least in my room, was extremely effective, and I was able to have the room nice and chilly for sleeping. Breakfast was decent, but nothing exceptional. Location was phenomenal, easy walking distance from all the main attractions like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi, etc. And it's right next to a tram stop (The T1 line that goes by all the other attractions not within walking distance like Taksim Square) and the Sirkeci train station/metro, which was convenient for taking the metro over to the Asian side (or any other place in the city you want to go by metro) for those who aren't fond of ferries like me.

RomaniaYou could hear literally everything from your room. All street noise could be heard as if you were outside. You could also hear noise from the neighboring rooms (others guests as well as running water). The toilet seat was fairly weird, smaller than the toilet itself. Also, the toilet brush holder was almost broken, but I'm being nitpicky here.
The staff were very nice, the facilities and the location were good. The room was clean except very hard to reach places.
