We loved our holiday at the Sylvan. The location was perfect for us. It is on a very pretty, quiet beach with easy access to nearby shops and restaurants. We did have our own car so getting about was easy. The staff were all wonderful and made sure our stay was very relaxing. We would absolutely recommend staying here and look forward to coming back one day.

Some family stayed in the accommodation near the top pool & they felt the accommodation was a bit dated, didn’t provide conditioner in the bathroom or the body lotion that was in the accommodation at the beach.

Friendly but discreet staff. Beautiful location & facilities. Both pools are good, the beach pool has a lovely shallow area for young children. Accessible beach, shallow water but able to float & snorkel. Restaurants were both great with plenty of choice for food. Beach side room was really lovely. Spa day was great. Location close to village with great restaurants.

The property decor feels a bit mismatched between the newly renovated rooms and older sections. The property itself is very large and hilly so you must get around by buggy. Many options at breakfast but food was just okay.

We had a nice and restful stay at Sylvan. We stayed in the newer room, which was comfortable. Staff were friendly.

It’s a bit hustle with the up and down the hill between the room to access the beach and facilities next to the beach. But there were options to facilitate the guests.

The property is nice and clean. The sea view is wonderful. The staffs are all nice, friendly and helpful. Great service.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at - ever! The room was very spacious, very clean and well maintained, massive balcony with a sea view, great buffet with breakfast, swimming pools were clean, the beach was amazing… and the Rainforest Spa! We took a 3 hour treatment and it was absolutely amazing. Would definitely stay again

If I really have to share one thing to improve, very very minor - it would be great to have a small children’s playground between the swimming pool and the restaurant on the beach :-)

The views were stunning. The combination of 2 pools and the sea were amazing. Also plenty of shade throughout the park.

On or second night we were eating in the restaurant on the beach my wife and sons food came out mine was nearly a. Hour later. So I refused to pay for it. Then at checkout they try to charge me $70 for a bottle of wine from the mini bar that I didn’t drink. They said the label was missing. You don’t expect that to happen in a 5* hotel when you’re paying $600 dollars a nights

Some of the stuff (cleaning) didn’t speak English. The food at the restaurant can be very spicy, so you need to specify if you want it less spicy. The dinner was very good, so we never went elsewhere to eat.

Very spacious comfortable quiet room with a fantastic view to the beach. Loved to be able to swim in the clean and quiet sea, also there are two very nice swimming pools for adults and kids. The beach is clean and shady. The breakfast is good and you can go there by a golf car or a funicular which is fun. The view from the breakfast room is amazing! Also, we appreciate that we were allowed a later check out for free. Massage was also very good! We enjoyed our stay so much that we dint leave the resort for the whole of our stay.

Disclaimer: all notes here are really minor. So, the road to Koh Chang is long and tiredsome - be prepeared. The hotel is not new - you can see old-fasioned tiles in bathroom - though they keep it up pretty well. To me, the style of massage is not really top-notch. And they want your credit card to see at the lobby, which could be a trouble if you used to pay through G-Pay like me.

The hotel is perfect for the family vacation - they have rather big rooms, some children activities. The beach is very slow going into water, and there is no currents, so it's very safe for children. Breakfasts are really awesome - even picky child can find some food for self. We were there during a jellyfish period in Thailand, and we didn't see any single one at that corner of ocean.

The bed was not the most comfortable. Had a backache when waking up every morning.

One issue was related to internet. Our roaming (AIS) was not receiving in some parts of the hotel including our rooms (beach side rooms). Therefore we were dependent on facility wifi. It was OK but you need to enter your passwords several times during the day. Bit annoying at times.

1) Oil massage/Thai massage: Price 1,400 - 1,600 baht/hour 2) Dining restaurant: - Seafood set is not fresh and expensive. -Employees have difficulty communicating even though they are Thai people.

1) Room number 9311: Can see the sea view from the bedroom. 2) Location: Beautiful at the sunset view point. 3) Breakfast: Variety, except no crispy bread.

Going to breakfast can be a bit annoying. The first day feels like an adventure and is fun because you have to take a small cable car. Alternatively you can call the reception and a golf cart will bring you to breakfast. The view from the breakfast place is beautiful tough so worth it.

It feels very private and peaceful. The hotel is located directly on the beach, the spa is a bit pricey but the quality of service is excellent and the massages are top tier. The food at the restaurant was excellent. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I suggest staying on the beachfront rooms or vila if possible.
