I will have liked to have a small espresso/ tea machine in the room. They had in the reception area a self service machine that would do the need but not my type.

Location is not excellent - it is ok for a one night stay, but there is nothing around it. The interior design was not my style - impersonal like a big hotel. But this is just a matter of taste.

Nice refurbished old building, clean and containing everything you need for a night stay - fridge, waterketle, etc. Safe parking in the closed courtyard.

Everything was perfect.

Very clean rooms with air conditioning at a very reasonable price a bit low in my opinion. The parking is also gated with code access which makes you feel very secure about your car. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful with any queries.

There are no possibilities for an early breakfast.

The accommodation is located near the main road, so the access is quite easy. Prior arrival we received detailed instructions about the access. The room was clean and comfy. The host was helpful, providing information on places nearby to get something to eat.

Lovely welcome from the host, who arrived shortly after I did. Confusingly there is no signage outside, the pension is in the large post office building, and the entrance is at the back of the building. Safe bike storage. The pension is a work in progress, and the reception and stairs are unfinished, but the bedroom was very nicely and recently done with great air conditioning, good shower and a very comfortable bed. Everything you need for a good night's sleep and at an excellent price. The same family run Escape Bar and Food down by the river, an easy 4km bike ride. Great spot to watch the sunset. A few metres east of the pension is a good supermarket with fresh pastries and a coffee machine, perfect for breakfast. This place was a perfect EuroVelo 6 stop for me.

We rode bicycles on the Eurovelo 6 and were lucky to be guests at the Escape Pensiune which is on the Romanian route about 3K from the ferry. Appears this place is just getting going as the entry room downstairs is being finished up. The place lists itself as a hostel but looks more like hotel of suites. Our double room was a very nice suite with a comfortable bed and bedding and with a small living room with couch, mini-frig and hot pot for Nescafé or tea. The AC blows really cold which we appreciated since riding our bikes in 37 degree muggy heat. The Wi-Fi is wickedly fast. One block from a well stocked grocery store. Very quiet. The entrance is at the rear of the building and don’t be fools like us and drag our sweaty bodies into the Post Office in the front of the building by sign for Escape Pensiune. Not much English spoken but Google translate works well to communicate and the son Lau who speaks English texted me on WhatsApp to see if we needed anything. He suggested that we eat at their sister restaurant Escape Bar and Food about 3k away which is an established restaurant on the Danube for which you get 20% off by staying at the Escape Pensiune. The big bonus is Lau offered a free car ride to and from the hotel and restaurant which we gladly accepted. It is a family run business and the father owns and runs both and the pride of ownership shows as well as the attention to detail. The family takes customer satisfaction to the next level. If in the area you would be well served to stay here.

Traffic noise almost all night (we were in a room at the front just above the Post Office door). The double glazed window seemed to make little difference to noise insulation. If you get a room at the back of the building you may have a much better experience. But there was poor sound insulation from inside the building too. Apparently no reception staff. We were shown to a room by a cleaner. Small room No kettle (there is a drinks machine in the foyer but you need a stock of 1 Lei notes) One toilet roll only Toilet seat not properly fitted

It was a little noisy due to construction from renovations currently taking place. There were a few stains on the stools in the room and we found a used water bottle at our bedside table. Not a bad stay for the price, just those few minor issues.

The parking was safe, gated and secure (spacious too). The room was large and the shower was nice. The staff was very kind and I appreciated the easy communication for both English speakers and those who spoke the local language. They offer discounts at a local restaurant which was convenient for dinner and tasty.
