Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Arab EmiratesSue and Richard were wonderful. They took good care of us and their bungalow was perfect for us as a family. Every little aspect was thought of, from freshly baked bread to opportunities to see sheep sheering and hike into the mountain. The view from the balcony was breathtaking.

Beautifully secluded on a farm/lifestyle block. Well insulated; great open plan layout and awesome flow to the deck. Beautiful views from the deck and spa pool. Separate bathroom and toilet. When entering there is a choice of homemade marmelades, jellies, chutney and more. As it’s my second visit, I wanted to replenish the olive oil ans grapefruit marmelade.

New ZealandThee fridge/freezer is quite noisy so we turned it off at night. There is no hot plate so we used the sideburner on the BBQ to boil potatoes.
A decent breakfast was provided. One of us is gluten free and Sue went to the trouble of creating an experimental GF loaf of bread for us. The eggs were wonderful - 2 duck, 2 hen and 2 bantam eggs. We used the spa every night. There is a walk up above the unit which goes up hill so reasonable fitness is required but you are rewarded with beautiful views down the valley. (see photo) The farm has a number of rare sheep breeds and alpacas. There were constant bird calls, particularly from bellbirds and grey warblers.

The Sanctuary at The Havens was the best place we stayed in at NZ. They welcomed us with their beautiful dogs and took their time caring about us, which really made the difference. The farm is ubicated in a beautiful valley and the views from there are awesome. The house was 100% equipped with literally everything you may need and with a touch of luxury. Breakfast at the sanctuary was just perfect. Sue provided us with plenty of bread, fresh eggs of various ranges and fresh fruit.

Hong KongJust a suggestion. Will be nice to provide umbrellas. Not a problem for us as we had our own. Very handy while grilling our me
We love everything during our stay at The Havens. Great and prompt communication. We received clear directions and check-in info right after we booked. The Havens is well equipped with high quality and user friendly equipment, furniture, kitchen utensils (there's nespresso!), bedding, linen (Sue's fleece was beautiful, soft and warm), eco friendly detergent, shampoo and etc. The jacuzzi hot tub was easy to use and OMG the view of the valley and the night sky right from the terrace is AMAZING! The Havens had everything we needed. It was raining and cold on our first day. Sue had the heater and jacuzzi ready for our arrival. Great thing we ordered the BBQ platter which came with good quality cuts and fresh greens. We managed to grill our meat in between the rain. Sue's chutneys, fresh lemon and olive oil made great salad dressing. Tried their homemade plum wine which is quite nice, less sweet than the Japanese version. Breakfast was plenty. We had citrus fruits, raw milk, muesli, butter, honey, preserves and Sue's freshly baked bread. Really appreciate Sue's invite to feed her animals. She even let us use her wellies to save our shoes from getting muddy walking around her farmland. We learnt so much about sheep and llamas. Very inspiring to see Sue's passion and energy she puts in to care for her animals and running the farm.
