You have to go outside of your caravan to go to the toilet, which is in another caravan, and as it was raining that was a commitment 😅

The owner is very cool and welcoming! He was always up for a chat and helped us with planning our time in Abel tasman :) The kitchen and chill room is very cozy and the cinema is amazing!

One of the coolest hostels I have ever stayed in - plenty to keep you entertained here. Laundry service was also very easy!

The hostel was one of the most well equipped places I have ever stayed… from the kitchen to the movie room! The rooms were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and the staff was excellent. Meg and Phoebe were fantastic and made everyone feel at home. The location is very close to the Abel Tasman coastal trek.

The only hick would be the price, slightly high for a dorm. But pretty basic for a touristic area.

One of the best backpacker I’ve stayed at. The staff are amazingly friendly, always available and happy to help or chat. The place offer every free facility you can dream of: ping pong, pools, hamac and even a home cinema! At night everybody is welcome to share some burned marshmallows around the barbecue. The dorms are nicely organised in old containers and the beds are comfy. You’re 5 min away from the beach or the track. Highly recommended!

Nothing bad to say, just that i recommend buying enough food beforehand because the store in the town isnt that big and the closest normal grocery store is a 25 minute ride with the car.

One of the best hostels i have stayed in so far. First of the staff is really helpfull and kind, felt right at home. The hostel is really nice, it has a big garden with hammocks, pool tables, a cinema, an inside living room and a fireplace where u can roast marshmallows every night. The location is good aswell its on walking distance from the beach and the park and right next to the kayak hire and water taxi. Dorms and beds were great aswell!

Would be nice to have some hooks/shelves to hang things in dorms/bed space and by handbasins in wash room. An outside tub to rinse swim wear and a long line to hang towels etc to dry would be great.

Great hostel! Has all the facilities you could think off, very clean and well managed. Ideal location next to Abel Tasman park. We didn’t stay in many hostels but there was limited availability in Marahau so we stayed here and we were not disappointed! Would gladly return one day.

Great hospitality. Very clean and a great range of facilities - especially the movie theatre with 5000 movies to choose from. Loved the marshmallows by the fire. Property has a huge amount to offer. Kitchen was fantastic and well equipped. A few bikes available for use. Super friendly and welcoming. Darts / Pool Table free to use on site. If all else fails - enjoy an afternoon in the hammock.

Great facilities, friendly and informed personell and within walking distance of Abel Tasman national park. They helped me organize activites and informed me where to go. They came and picked me up and dropped me back of i Kaiteriteri. The best hostel I stayed in during my NZ trip!

Rooms in the container are a bit noisy, since they are only separated by a bunk bed with a wooden all behind. You can hear the conversations of the other room.

So far the best hostel I stayed in NZ! The owner as well as the staff is super friendly and extremely helpful - they always assure all the guests are doing well. We spontaneously decided to do a camping trip in the Abel Tasman and they provided us a tent and sleeping bags. In case of bad weather they have lots of board games as well as a cinema and pool tables, nice indoor and outdoor common area.

Amazing facilities, very fun and sociable hostel. Comfy beds, lovely staff, great location, good for meeting people and learning about the area/finding out things to do in Abel Tasman. Would 100% recommend.
