An exclusive place away from the towns

The only option for dinner is hotel restaurant. Few places not far away are just terrible.

An extraordinary place. In my opinion, Cameron highlands towns are not the place where you can see something interesting. Therefore, the fact that this hotel is far from them is not at all its disadvantage. True, the lake is not very beautiful and is not a suitable place for sightseeing or walks, but the overall view from the hotel is impressive. There is a jungle trail right next to the hotel. This was the most challenging jungle trail of our trip. Just 1.5 km, any experience. I do not recommend it to anyone with mobility issues and it is better not to go with children. If you like adventure - definitely go. We were upgraded to the Foster Suite - it was wow, wow, wow. But you have to climb the up to the hill. We tried the hotel's steam boat for dinner - we really liked it. Breakfast was also good and varied.

Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment as the food could have been better.

Perfect spot for a weekend retreat. Lovely surrounding, very friendly and hospitable staff. Service was exceptional. Dinner was great.

Not many options for food near the hotel. If you don't have a car difficult to travel around from here.

The view from the hotel gardens and the breakfast 😊

I wish the front- desk had told us about the secret trail that ine can go to from the hotel premises, on the afternoon we checked in. Then we could have added that into our experiences.

The warmth of the place - the decor is just fantastic - specially the different rooms, so reminiscent of old English homes. The Chesterfield sofa, the dove cote, the weathervane , the library, the spindle , the fireplace with an actual fire burning was just amazingly comfortable.

A bit of road noise but not too bad, perhaps some fly control needs to be used. Other than that, the hotel is exceptional.

A beautiful, natural and scenic location matched with the perfect tropical highlands weather, Tudor architecture, excellent service and charm made a great vacation!

Late afternoon there were mosquitos around the property, they did not care the sun was shining, wear protection after 16:00. Placed at the start of the Cameron Highlands and a little remote, you either have to take a car or taxi to get further up to find different eateries.

Great atmosphere, staff go a long way to help, and we're polite and knowledgable. Great touch that they light the log fires at 07:00pm each night, cosy watching the flames with a glass of wine. Tasty breakfast, honeycomb on a dripping rack was a good feature. Our hire car was "refreshed" daily, (great touch).

Unfortunately the Manager advised to leave the hotel at 11am for a 1:42 train in Ipoh, we decided to leave at 1030a because we were worried that was not enough time and we missed our train to Georgetown Penang, cost us $90 US dollars plus the loss of the train tickets to finally get to Georgetown.

We like a king bed, not available. Room is very large but bed a little soft and the red chairs in the room smelled funky. The lodge is beautifully decorated and have a lot of areas to sit. Food is good, Manager is especially friendly and a very hard worker.

    Nothing comes to mind.

The location and hotel layout were exceptional, the staff were welcoming, helpful and professional. They had arranged taxis from KL and later to Penang. Breakfast was decent, the one dinner we had there was also OK - well prepared but rather outdated. Overall a pleasant stay.
