The sinks were smelling a lot, the room was spacious but only 1 window to open made it a littlebit warm. The beds were not the most comfortable of our stay.

A very warm and nice welcome. The Dear is central, great to arrive by car or any other transportation and the owners are more than lovely! We enjoyed staying here very much and it has an excellent price performance ratio! Just a few minutes from every to be place in Puebla, good recommendations and more.

This is a 10/10 experience! We wish we could have stayed longer. The staff are exceptional and go the extra mile to make you feel at home. The facilities are top notch and the bedroom is extremely comfortable. Great bed! Free coffee and water were a plus. Excellent location, too. Look no further for your stay in Puebla!

Better drainage in sink and shower but it was by no means a problem.

Great location not far from the old town, surrounded by good food and bar options, lots of culture to explore and immerse yourself in. Great hosts, more of a homestay vibe than anything, the entrance and key situation is not a problem as others have mentioned (and I am particular). Very quiet, comfortable bed and clean bathroom.

Nothing, the perfect stay

A gem of a find! Quiet location in easy walking distance to all the main old town sites, really beautifully decorated, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, secure parking and great social areas. We had a private terrace with our room too. The hosts were absolutely lovely as well, highly recommend!

"The Dear" is written on the door that faces the street, there´s no door bell though. You have to ask someone who´s around or wait a little. Possible solution: maybe install a hidden doorbell that outsiders don´t know.

location great, just 5 minutes to the zócalo, quiet, kitchen fully equipped, free potable water, free coffee, mattress good, owners very nice, common living room, roof terrace with view on the Popo (vulcano). The uppermost (third) story suite is warmer due to the roof exposed to the sun, but not uncomfortably.

It's good for guest safety, but you have to use 3 physical keys every time you come or go.

The location, across the street from a little park, is perfect for enjoying the historic center without being right on the zocolo. The family that runs the place were really kind and easy to communicate with.

I love the proximity of the lodging to the main town of Puebla. I also appreciate the owners who were available for anything and everything. Dad, Mom and son were there to meet us and orient us about the place during our arrival. I thought it was very sweet.

Hot water didn't work all the time but it wasn't a huge problem. In the evenings it worked fine.

Perfect location, quiet, all the family speak very good English and they are very nice people. A rooftop terrace from where we could watch the sun setting up behind El Popo was a nice bonus

I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't use the roof terrace. It seems they lock it around 4pm each day which seems early.

The location is great and the staff are really nice. The suite I had was large and comfortable. I was able to do laundry for free.

Great location just minutes away from all touristy places and restaurants. Very comfortable, spacious room with clean bathroom. Amazing and helpful staff. We got recommendations with a little flyer, even was able to leave some of our stuff behind for few days when we went to visit Oaxaca.

Daniel and his son have been one of the best hosts of all our trip in Mexico. They truly understand what hospitality is, we felt really welcomed.The top room is beautiful, comfortable, clean with an access to the terraces. The situation is also perfect, in the heart of Puebla, on a very charming little square. We spent 3 wonderful days at the dear.

I loved this quiet and simple place to stay. Very close to Plaza Del Carmen which was full of activity at night. Super close to Central area of Puebla. The price was so affordable. We loved it stay here!!

The shower water pressure wasn’t very strong. The key for opening the outer gate did not work very well, takes a few tries to open.

Lovely hosts - very hospitable and friendly. The house is well-furnished and nicely decorated and has all the necessary kitchen appliances to be shared among the guests.

The tiniest thing is that it would have been nice to have a full length mirror in the room and also we didn’t enjoy the taste of the free coffee that was provided (but great to have access to a french press).

The room is huge! We were greeted at the gate and walked and talked through the beautiful property including the coffee, lovely rooftop and well equipped kitchen. Whenever we had any questions, the host replied within minutes! Felt very luxurious and well thought through.

staff was super friendly and accommodating, gave us an extra room they had when they found out we actually needed two beds and they didn't prepare the second one. location was good, right next to a taco place and a bunch of stalls, and a short walk to zócalo place was very clean as well

The room was little cold, but the owner gave us an electric heater that solved the problem.

The hotel is located in the historical centre, a few minutes' walk from the main square. The area is quiet and safe. The hotel has plenty of common areas, including a well-equipped kitchen and roof terraces. The room is spacious and well furnished, and the shared bathroom is very comfortable. Everything is extremely clean and cleaned daily. To finish, the owners are very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Everything was great.

I had a really great stay at the Dear! The host was super nice, the communication via booking was really fast and uncomplicated and it was just a 10min walk through a nice neigborhood to the city center. I rented the room with own bathroom and it was just amazing for the price! Really big room with comfortable bed and very clean. There are also two living rooms and a kitchen which you could use. I highly recommand this place and would definitely go there again!

The owner is helpful and friendly + his English is perfect. We liked the location and the interior room was better than expected. Also the bed is very comfy and the room had a lot of space. Also we did really liked Puebla. Amazing food, stroll around and nice to stay for 2 nights we think.
