Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MexicoAbsolutely nothing!
Cristina and her staff were so friendly and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was excellent! We are so happy we found such a charming place. The rooms maintained the atmosphere of an old convent but had updated features in the bathroom. The breakfast that was included was delicious and substantial. But the best part of our stay was the excellent staff who exceeded our expectations in so many ways!

United KingdomThe traffic is noisy at the front, , but our room was well away from the road and, therefore, quiet.
This hotel is genuinely unique. It is quirky, historic and a delight to walk around or to sit on one of the various plant covered patios. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Christine and Marian are both fantastic hosts who go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and convenient. Christine organised ubers for us on three different occasions and even booked our bus tickets (online) to CDMX. The breakfasts, ordered via WhatsApp, each night before, are exquisitely prepared by either Marian or Christine and are more than enough to keep you going all day. Perfect location near the Zocalo. We cannot rate this hotel highly enough.

United States of AmericaEverything was wonderful!
Beautiful property on the edge of the centro histórico. It was a monastery in the 17th century and retains a lot of the charm. Our room was big, and the bathroom very chic. It is a quick walk to the Zocalo from here, and also the artisan markets. The Lucha Libre arena is next door! The service provided by Marianne and Christine was spectacular — nothing was too much trouble. We had a choice of a hot breakfast dish daily, and the presentation was wonderful. They even served us a full breakfast very early due to our departure timing.

United States of AmericaWe stayed on the top floor and walking up stairs is the way to get to upper floors. A good excuse to exercise and benefit from the view and silence. They did carry luggage up for us. There is no A/C, but the two floor fans provided were essential and appreciated.
Lovely property; interior and exterior were clean, secure, colorful, and nicely furnished. Beds very comfortable and shower plenty of hot water.

Historic 17th century property with furnishings and decor in accord. Artistic in every detail. New comfortable bathrooms with lots of hot water. Fast internet. Breakfast is included. Staff are super accommodating with food service and help with luggage because there are stairs to navigate and of course, no elevator, being centuries old.

United States of AmericaThe front door entry system
The service and attention to detail are excellent. The staff makes you feel so welcome, as they are all so warm and kind. They do everything to make your stay excellent. The inn itself is a lovely piece of history, which the staff can explain to you. The owner collects antiquities and they are generously showcased in the Posada. Everything is colorful, interesting and clean. The breakfast is amazing. It is so plentiful that I had to ask for less! Finally, I slept so soundly compared to colleagues who were closer to city center. There is little if any noise at Hotel Boutique Posada. It is just lovely!

CanadaJust a personal preference the beds are very firm! But this seems quite common in places we have stayed in Mexico.
Beautiful quirky boutique hotel with a wonderful atmosphere! Just what you would want in a 16th century home! The staff are just amazing! So helpful and friendly. Lovely linens and very clean. Short walk to everything you want to see in central.

Hotel is fascinating house from the 1600s. Room was more like small apt. Very old and very comfortable. Hotel staff, especially Cristina, went above and beyond to help make our first several days in Puebla super fun and interesting. The breakfast was also terrific. Location was very convenient to the historic center and the Zocalo. Overall — great hotel, great staff and we would definitely stay here again.
