The property was in a really good location, centred close to town but at night, it was a little scary having dogs follow us back as the location was just tucked behind the main road so no one else was on it. We’d previously had a bad experience with dogs in Divisadero so think our sensitivities were heightened.

Memo as a host was SUPERB. When asked for support and advice he offered up suggestions on how to best enjoy the town. He offered us coffee before we got the early morning bus and turned the heating on for us in our room knowing that we were out to ensure we came back to a warm and cosy room.

If you have a room with a view to the trains you can of course also here them. But there is only max 1 in the early morning.

Good location with a view to the trains. The owner is always there and can organize a tour around Creel (6 hours, 550 Pesos). Cozy rooms.

I didn’t like the fact that the gas to the heater is turned on and off by the management.

It is in a great central location. The quality of the structure is very good the woodwork is top notch! They keep up with the maintenance. The quality of the bedding is very good with lots of warm blankets.

Everything was perfect Nothing to complain They have a very nice restaurant. It is a pity that they do not use it for serving breakfast or dinners. But I totally understand it, because they sometimes do not have enough customers in low season and could be quite expensive to buy everything for two or three Guest that maybe preferred to eat outside

Everything Was Super clean People was very friendly They explain clearly that the water can get frozen during the morning so they advise you to take a shower in the afternoon. Otherwise the weather will freeze the plumberies and the water would not be as hot as we wish it But if you follow the simplest instruction, your day will be super pleasant

The stairs are the only option to access most of the rooms and would be difficult to use if you were older.

La Troje de Adobe has a lovely decor and great customer service. Our room was very cosy - the bed was comfortable and there was ample heating despite the cold outside temperature.

Everything was just great

The persons at the reception are very kind and helpful, this is the second time I stay there and of course I will stay again, rooms are very comfortable and warm, I didn’t feel the super cold weather outside.

Extremely comfortable beds and bathroom, spotless room. what made this place so special was the service - my friend got sick during her stay and the owner drove home to get the ingredients to brew her tea and checked up on her. They also spoke pretty good english. I would definitely stay here again.

In the morning we saw the other side of railway tracks looked a little more scenic than where we were We were on main Rd so easy walking distance but town appeared very basic Until we saw other side

Unfortunately during our stay in February 2023 the owners hadn't yet managed to reopen their cafe post-covid which is to one side of the property. This is a pity as it was a nice place and would be an excellent option for breakfasts and refreshments!

You only get 1 jug of water per day.

The location was super convenient, and the room and hotel is beautiful decorated! There are a lot of stair just be warned. You get a free mug of coffee in the morning which was a nice touch and they are very conscious of the environment which was nice as it is a beautiful part of Mexico. Would recommend and stay again!
