Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaThe breakfast was great. Different everyday with fresh ingredients. Louisa, the chef, was amazing. She helped us catch taxis and ensured she bargained with the drivers till she found a reasonable price for us. When our bus to Puerto Escondido was canceled, she opened the door for us at 11pm after we had checked out. Luckily we'd booked till the next day. Sarah was very helpful with her recommendations for restaurants as well.

United States of AmericaThe mattress was just a little too firm for my taste, but that is a personal preference and was fine as everything else was so spectacular.
Excellent small hotel/BnB for our few nights in Oaxaca. Location was ideal, walking distance to city sights yet not right on the main squares so it is restful and peaceful. Charming decoration and beyond friendly staff. Sarah and Cesar (who both speak excellent English) were the finest hosts and answered our questions in person or WhatsApp, and helped line up a day of hiking with a guide for us in Sierra Norte. The breakfast was nourishing and well prepared, and they went above and beyond to serve us quite early before the normal time so we could leave for the mountains. Plenty of filtered water available at all times, and they serve a very nice custom Mescal to their guests! (Be sure to dine at nearby Moogone, wonderful!).

United States of AmericaThe staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. They couldn’t have been nicer! Every morning, Louisa who is lovely, provides a delicious home cooked breakfast. The room was nicely furnished, very clean, comfortable and quiet. Easy walking distance to Zocalo. We look forward to returning and staying at Casa Pereyra in the future.

United States of AmericaNo suggestions! We were there for 8 nights and all was so smooth. For walking, the first few blocks are busy due to their location but they are close to everything you might want to see in the city.
Breakfast was yogurt, fresh fruit (amazing sweet and ripe papaya, mango or pineapple . . .), coffee, tea, muesli, toast - all available to self serve and a cooked breakfast was also offered between 8-10am, if desired. Always fresh and delicious. The staff are what make this the most excellent lodging - only 9 rooms and many staff make for a personalized and very welcoming experience. Due to our limited Spanish, we took our hosts up on their generous offers to arrange taxis, tour guides, etc. Their restaurant recommendations from safe local street food to fine dining were all spot-on. The garden area with tables was where we perched before dinner with small glasses of the house mezcal. We truly felt like we were (finally) on vacation. The bed was very comfortable and despite being on a busy street, we had no road noise (though we did keep windows shut at night). The rooms are immaculately clean, including our private balcony floor! We walked everywhere and used taxis for leaving the city for excursions - nearby Monte Alban, La Cumbre, Hierve el Agua (a must), Teotitlan del Valle (another must) and the Tule tree . . . Market at Mitla.

United States of AmericaWhat a great place to stay! It is only 5 minutes walk to the Zocolo. The hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff is wonderful. There is a beautiful garden courtyard where you can relax at the end of the day and sip the house Mezcal. Breakfast was delicious and varied each day. Sarah does a great job making sure everyone's stay is the best. She puts her personal touch on this small, quant boutique hotel! All of her restaurant and other recommendations were spot on!

United KingdomWe had a fabulous stay at Casa Pereyra - starting with Sarah, Cesar and the rest of the team, we were well taken care of, from helping with tips about local sites, arranging transport, warm breakfasts and all the various needs during our time there (which we extended an extra night!). The rooms are really comfortable - we also had a little patio in which to unwind - and the communal courtyard was a lovely space to meet some wonderful fellow guests and sip some mezcal (!). The location is both quiet and steps away from all the main zocalo, markets, churches and 101 great bars and restaurants.

United KingdomDecor in the room and bathroom very tired and could do with a refresh. Because of the two tables and chairs on the patio immediately outside the room, other guests tend to congregate there and stay til late. Every word carries into the room so there's not much privacy and as the door out to the patio is the only source of natural light if left open, for privacy you need to shut this and turn the lights on in the room.
Beautifully clean, good breakfast, very helpful staff, comfortable bed, charming entrance and patio area. Easy access to Zocalo and other attractions

CanadaThe hotel is in a great location in terms of proximity to the main square. It is, however, on a very busy road with lots of traffic.
A peaceful boutique hotel with generously sized suites, amazing staff and truly exceptional breakfasts. The room had everything we needed to feel at home. The staff were very kind and really took care of all of the guests. We could not get over how delicious the breakfasts were - every day we were served something new.

United States of AmericaThings to know about Mexico: the beds are a little hard but that’s not uncommon for Mexico. The water is heated by the sun. Want a hot shower? Take it in the afternoon or evening when the water has been warmed all day.
the property is amazing. Great location, close to everything and only 4 short blocks to the main square. There is a small church park just across the street with delicious ice cream stands, dulce and the occasional taco stand. Nice music that can be heard from the hotel courtyard. We stayed in the 2 story suite with private patio for 2 weeks. it was the ideal spot for such a long stay. It can be loud and bustling outside but as soon as the front door closes, you are surrounded with an incredibly serene atmosphere of plants, a fountain, soft Hispanic music. You will be amazed how quiet it can be just off the street. DONT MISS BREAKFAST! Every morning the staff cooks a delicious breakfast and it is different every day. if you miss the enchiladas suizas or heuvos rancheros, they likely won’t have it again during your stay. Good coffee, tea, fruit, granola, yogurt and toast are offered every morning. there is also a full bottle of mezcal left on the community table each day and you are encouraged to have a sip from time to time. Now, let’s talk about the staff. This review would be a amiss if I did not mention the staff. They are what makes this place so enchanting. the hotel has a small staff of only 10 or so people. All of them genuinely care about their work, this place and all the beings within its walls. Not only are they the nicest, friendliest crew of folks, they will go out of their way to help you in any way. -Recommendations, reservations, hiring a driver, calling a cab, laundry services, a tour of the roof on New Year’s Eve to see fireworks, a cup of tea because they heard you cough. The people here are what makes this place special.
