The owner was amazing, very helpful and friendly. He clearly took pride in, and loved, this place. Facilities were great, with a well-stocked kitchen and nice common room area. Exceptionally clean. Would recommend to anyone.

No real problems for me, though you will need to navigate 1-2 flights of stairs depending on whether you're on the 2nd or 3rd floor. Access to laundry facilities would be nice.

Super value for what is provided. Highly recommended as a place to stay for budget-conscious travellers in UB. Andy is a great host and did his best to accommodate all requests for tours, rooms, etc. The building is just off a main street so not too noisy, but easily walkable. Facilities are basic, but in very good condition. The State Department store is 5-10 minute walk away, and you'll be able to find most of what you might need there. Ended up spending 5 nights here while in UB, and would have stayed longer if possible.

Hostel is on the 3rd floor of the building, so you have to take all your luggage up to the narrow stair to the 3rd floor because the elevator not stop at the 3rd floor.

The room is clean and comfortable. The hostel is in the good location, so you can walk around many interested place around here.

Best hostel I've been to in UB! Stayed at 3 other places but they don't even compare in terms of facilities, cleanliness, service, or comfort. Anand, the host, is fantastic. He's lived several years in the US working for Hyatt and you can tell that he's applying the highest standards to his place. He'll also help you to organise your trip, even if you don't book any tour through him. He booked a bus ticket for me, other hostels charge an extra booking fee for that. He'll also tell you what prices are reasonable for the things you want to do so you won't get ripped of. I stayed there a few times and will come back if I get through UB again.

The bathrooms don't have ventilating fan, so it will be quite muggy after someone using it.

The hostel and the room were very clean. The staffs were super helpful. The location was quite good, the shopping malls or Monastery are within 20 mins or walking distance.

Zaya hostel located at an extremely strategic location, you can walk to Sukbhatar Square in 15 mis or so, and most the museums are located at the same vicinity. Though is with shared toilet, the WC is always clean. Anand is a very kind host and will assist you will all kind of tours, pick up and also exchanging MNT :), I do not see any money changer around UB in fact. Thank you Anand and Zaya team, Mr Bayasaa my cool pick up/drop off driver. *** highly recommended if you do not mind shared toilet.

Great Hostel, extremely clean and generally a very high standard. Much better than any of the other hostels in UB I've been at. Staff is also super friendly, helpful and accommodating! Will definitely book it again for my next stay :)

I loved how friendly the owner was. They organised the pickup and dropoff to the airport for me. And everything was on time and the driver was super nice too. The room is big and clean, same goes for the bathroom. Everything is very nice, a bit loud tho, but that really depends on the people staying in the hostel.

The entrance is very difficult to find and you need a PIN code to open the door, which I didn’t have. So you need to call to get in. Also the building looks quite worn down from the outside

Excellent location with a bar Soulmate open 24 hrs 2 mins away. A sedate bar, not rowdy. Also a shop on the bottom of the road that sells food also opens 24 hrs. Taxi to and from the airport £20 each way organised by hostel. Room lovely and hot, shower perfect. Excellent value for money.

Not much, really. The only thing I would probably do as a host is to enforce the quiet-time rule. Some guests arrive late at night and are very noisy.

Great location, safe and clean, with a full kitchen at the guests' disposal. Hosts are very welcoming, intelligent, ready to answer all your questions, and have flawless English. They also provide reliable taxi service to and from the airport on request and organize tours. I will definitely stay there again when I return!

We are happy with anything.

The host n staff are really really friendly & nice there and they can speak good english. Very prompt reply on the enquiry and arrangement via “chat with the property ” with booking.com. Like the atmosphere in the common area where is a nice place to meet and chat with other travellers. We arrived very early like 7 something in the morning and the host let us to stay n take rest in the living room area. And let us to have an early check in at before 11 and which is very appreciated. The rooms and toilets are clean.And it’s close to the railway station and just a few minutes walk to the state department store with many places nearby eat & shop . We also using the pick up and drop off service offered by the host, the driver is very punctual and helpful and at a resaonable price for group compared to the UBUS service . I would recommend this place to stay if travel to Ulaanbaatar.
