Very friendly host and very clean hostel!

Cozy House is one of the best places I have stayed. It is very close to Ella train station. It has a really cozy, positive, and friendly atmosphere. In my opinion, Ella is the coolest town in Sri Lanka. I highly recommend Cozy House. Thank you for the warm welcome and delicious breakfasts. ;)

A chill hostel in the center of Ella, very convenient location as it is next to the train track and you have everything at your doorstep. Cozy house is a small place with a very friendly and caring family. Next door you a rooftop for some food and drinks and good vibe. Shower excellent, toilet aswell. Bring earplugs if you are sensitive.

The staff is lovely, the location is close to the Main Street with restaurants and the train station. The breakfast was great and cheap.

The place is not far from the train station, from the departure of diverse excursions. It's not luxury but you've got what you need (a plug, mosquito net, warm shower, a nice breakfast, laundry ...) But the more important thing is the host and his family as he has a real pleasure to meet people, he's not ruling a business but meeting people first of all. And for that, he will do his best to satisfy you, as his family around, all kind. He is the social link which make the cement between everyone he receive. Thanks for that good moment my friend 😉

Noise but everywhere close to the city center will be noisy. I can't complain as I wanted to be close to the restaurants and railway station

The dorm is quite small for 4 beds but it's well equipped. Nice vibe overall. The staffs (a son and his parents) are very nice people. They take good care of the place, clean it every day. Location is ideal. From the beautiful garden one can watch the train passing by. It quite noisy though since it's close to the train track. I had no problem with it though and in fact really enjoyed it that way.

Extremely nice family, super cute family house, with very comfy beds. Wc and bathroom are very clean and high quality, with hot water. From the hammock in the garden you can watch the trains passing just below :)

The mosquito nets are a bit too small for the beds, there was only one power outlet in the room which is not dramatic but a bit inconvenient. The whole place isn't very soundproof so if you're a light sleeper, you might want to take earplugs.

The best hammock in all of Sri Lanka is here! Other than that the host is super nice and helpful! Breakfast is very good and the price is more than fair. Laundry was done in a day and smelled clean. Just a short walk away from the train station.

This is a very friendly small family business, and they do everything to make you feel well. The breakfast was very good. Although the dorm is very small for 4 people, it is compensated by the simple, but very cozy community area. The hostel is situated at the end of Ella, just where you start the hike to Ella Rock.

When the train goes by it sounds like it is about to hit the hostel - but that only happens a few times during the day so you probably won't hear it.

Friendly host and very chill vibe. Comfy beds and good location, nice shower.

Basic hostel with a a huge heart. Met some great travellers here, and Sameera is the loveliest host around. His smile alone is worth the trip. Great location for the railway, amazing restaurant called Clay Pot next door.

Owners are hospitable and really helpful. Breakfast are so delicious! Hostel is perfectly located, close to bars, shops and restaurants. Possibility to do a laundry for a fee.

Very chill place, nice owner and delicious breakfast. Very close to the city but relatively quiet. You can hear the bars, traffic and the train at night though so not ideal if you're a light sleeper. Rooms and facilities were very clean and we felt at home immediately.

Sometimes it might be a bit noisy at night because of the Bar next door, but it's probably quite common in Ella.

The host was really nice and helpful. Organized a cheap Tuktuk for us and the best Cooking class ever :) Location was good, only 5 minutes walk to Train Station and City Centre.

Not a thing to critique…it was all muy bien!

Evwrythinf! How a hostel should be. Not too big, but location was perfect. Host was unbelievably soft spoken, kind and helpful. Facilities were basic, but everything you needed! Breakfast was top shelf with a smoothie included. Just a solid vibe all around. Kudos for doing in proper!

Can be noisy at night from adjacent bars but I didn't mind, they played nice music.

Location cannot be better in Ella, right above the train tracks which you can walk to the station or go the other way to hike Ella Rock. Right beside many restaurants and bars. Owner is really nice and always offering me a cup of a tea. I didn't order the breakfast but seeing others with it it looked well worth the money especially for the smoothie.
