Pool needs a bit of loving care. Water was way too warm but not sure what can be done about that.

The standard rooms are in need of a freshen up. Decor is a little faded and the bathroom is very basic. Can only use the shower if hand held. Complete contrast to the rest of the hotel.

The public areas - reception, dining, bar and pool were lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Electricity kept cutting in and out due to power cuts and generator kicking in. Restaurant was nothing special.

We went in February when the resort and the area generally had hardly any tourists - some nights we were the only people dining in the hotel

Beautiful resort - best bit was its location. It was next to a lagoon and in the evening oxen wandered down to the water to cross to a nearby island. Lots of very interesting wildlife to see as you sat for an evening drink. A short walk away there was a great beach, which had a couple of beach bars but was relatively deserted

This is a lovely hotel with a homely feel. Our room was huge with a great view over the lagoon. There's a nice pool but the hotel is a few minutes walk from the beach. All the food is delicious and the chef even gave us the recipe for a dish we particularly liked.The boat ride on the lagoon to watch the sunset was really memorable.

The hotel is very good. Room is clean and spacious. The view on the bay is gorgeous. It’s relatively close to the beach and the ocean in this area is very clean and warm. We spent here 4 nights with our 3 years old son and we all had a wonderful time. The staff is very attentive. I especially want to highlight the man at the pool area and the guys from the restaurant, especially Kirujan , who was very helpful with all our needs. The food was delicious and varied. Definitely recommend this hotel. From what we’ve seen that’s probably the best resort in the area.

Exceptional spacious, clean room. Friendly staff all over the place. Small, but beautiful swimming pool on the riverside. Uppuveli beach is within walking distance. Can highly recommend this relaxing place.

What an incredible stay at this remarkable hotel, which is a destination in itself. Stayed at executive suite. A beautifully appointed spacious room, spectacular views and facilities and excellent food. Besides that the hotel facilities were outstanding, every single staff member was extremely friendly and accommodating. This place made us feel home away from home. I cannot wait to return.

Spacious poolside room with built-in jacuzzi. Visited in the off-season so had the whole place to ourselves. The restaurant served excellent meals even though there were only a few guests.

Great view to the lake and walking distance to the beach. Tasty food at the restaurant and great service from all the staff, mainly from the Front office staff: Priwin, Mayuran, Roshan, Abinaya, Sanujan & Krishiha. The hotel arranged a sunset canopy trip for us around the lake that was just lovely.

The location was far from main road and the back of the hotel I think is swamp land - so has a weird smell. For the price I would have expected more.

Staff were amazing and accomodating. Food was great! Room was clean and hot tub was an added bonus Restaurants down the road were amazing as well.

the hotel stuff was so nice and helpful with everything we needed. The room was clean and the breakfast had a variety of choices. The hotel manager and the other stuff were extremely sensitive to our situation in Israel and tried to do anything in their power to make us feel better and protected. We are highly recommending this hotel and surly be back when we’ll be in Sri Lanka.

It's a beautiful resort and we had a huge room with a jacuzzi. It felt really luxurious for the price and the pool was really lovely. Also, the night security were really lovely and showed us some of the local wildlife.

the soundproof is not good, we can hear clearly the upstairs people walking. And we ask 2 more bottles of water, the normal water, it will take charge.

Everything goes well. The staff is very nice. Help us do a free upgrade, super nice view, I would recommend my friends come.

Nothing, everything was great!

AMAZING! We had the most amazing stay here. We were celebrating our anniversary and my boyfriends birthday here. They suprised us with balloons and a birthday cake in the room, the next day with another ‘anniversary’ balloon and a fruit platter. The service was so good and the swimming pool was amazing. The people at the reception and breakfast were so kind!! We booked the junior suite room with a jacuzzi with the most beautiful view we had ever seen. We would reccomend this to everybody.

Nothing at all, it was the perfect stay!

We booked this resort to celebrate a birthday and anniversary and were lucky enough to be upgraded to the suite m, which has a jacuzzi. The room was spacious, well air conditioned, has a ceiling fan and a balcony. We were provided with gowns and lovely toiletries. The spacious bathroom was luxurious and the jacuzzi was a delightful addition to the comforts of the room. All staff at this hotel are very kind and welcoming, Priwin (the front desk manager) in particular very kindly gave us a room upgrade which improved the celebrations. Breakfast was included in the room rate, the Sri Lankan breakfast in particular was very traditional and delicious. The hotel is a short, 300m walk from a pristine beach (Uppuveli) which wasn’t crowded at all. The hotel offers free bicycles if you’d prefer a quick ride to the beach.
