Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeThe hotel room was way too small for the three of us. They only gave us one key and two towels. I guess you get what you pay for.
The hotel's location was advantageous.

AustraliaThe toilet and waste bin hadn't been cleaned properly. There were urine stains on the toilet seat and stains of something gross in the bin liner, which clearly hadn't been changed after the previous guest checked out. To be fair, the bin liner was changed after I raised the issue with staff. The bed linens were grubby, so I ended up buying my own pillow slip. The toilet was angled in such a position too close to the wall that I couldn't actually sit on the seat properly - ended up having to sit sideways on the toilet seat. This hotel appears to get a lot of domestic tour groups - the members of the tour groups tend to get up at 6 or 7 o'clock and slam doors and shout down the corridors. It can be very noisy. I was woken up by this cacophony daily.
The hotel is in a convenient location very close to shops and public transport. The guest rooms have a lot of potential with floor to ceiling windows and great views from most rooms. With the exception of the toilet, the room layout was very user-friendly. There is also a roof-top area that guests can use.

UkraineLight in the room is regulated by sensor, it broke in the evening so we could not turn off light in our room. Luckily, the staff managed to quickly fix it.

GermanyOne of the room was much smaller than another, however the price were the same. The breakfast costs approximately 15 EUR, but the maximum price is 7 EUR. Besides that, everything was good :)
We stayed in two rooms for five days. The rooms, towels, and bedsheets were clean, and the cleaning service was good. The breakfast was okay, with only a few options; most were from Korean Cuisine, so picking something not spicy in the morning took a lot of work. However, they always served coffee, omelets, salad, white toast bread with butter, and strawberry jam, so you will not be hungry. You also have the option to fry an egg yourself. The funny thing was that, unlike other hotels, you had to clean your dishes, so be prepared for it. The hotel's location was perfect. In the same building, we have a convenience store (7-Eleven), a 7-minute walk from a big Lotte Mall with many shops and cafes. The metro and bus station were very close to the hotel. The big harbor, the famous Busan fish market and the BIFF square with cafes, shops and street food were close to the building.

IsraelThe location is great but there weren't so many good places to eat around if you want to grab a late night dinner or snack. Also the staff came to our room a few times a day to do things like fix the TV or check the air conditioner which I appreciate that they care but it was a bit annoying.
The room was nice, view from the room was amazing. 7/11 downstairs was a great bonus.

NetherlandsHotel is rated 4-star on Booking.com and other booking sites but is actually a two star tourist hotel according to their own billboard. I would say its near 3-star and the location makes up for the 4th star. You have to select at checkin whether you would like to have room cleaning every day, or not at all, which is weird. We stayed 4 nights and asked for one cleaning day. No one showed up unfortunately.
Location is absolutely brilliant. Two minutes walk to Jagalchi market, 5 minutes to BIFF square and Nampo metro station. Rooms are clean and decent. Getting clean towels and free bottle of waters each day.

New ZealandThere was no aircon to cool the room because they claimed it's winter but we were there in spring and it got warm. They also require guests to put toilet paper in the bin which is not acceptable for a large hotel. There is also no security going up the lift but the area felt very safe.
The apartment was well equipped with toiletries and was very clean. The location was great for our needs and great value for the price. The staff were very friendly and attended to our needs well. The room had a view of the port and water which was lovely.
