Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanBut if a walk to the city center. Missing fruit popsicles available at other Dormy Inn.
The onsen, breakfast, free ramen & popsicles and yakult. Good location near the river for a run and convenient shuttle to the station. Eco-friendly

Everything was good. The facilities were new. The onsen was spacious and well equipped which has a sauna, indoor and outdoor onsen. The room was cozy. The breakfast was amazing with high variety, including Hiroshima's fried oyster, oyster egg, momiji manjū, pudding, chawanmushi, etc. Free ramen was provided every night. Although the location is not near to the train station, there were plenty of restaurant nearby. I am very satisfied with my stay in Dormy Inn Hiroshima Annex.

AustraliaThis hotel is clearly ran by people with a lot of common sense. Everything was just right. I will be looking at dormy inn hotels first for all future Japan trips.

United States of AmericaThe decor at the other properties we went to (Kyoto, Osaka) were minimalistic but beautiful arrangements of flowers on the walls of the floors. There is little to no decor in the hallways or rooms so it feels more like a hospital or other institution and is not as warm and inviting as it could be. Again, the Kyoto property set the standard for us.
I was introduced to the Dormy Hotels at their property in Kyoto and then in Osaka. Of the three, the Kyoto property has the finest facilities. Second to Kyoto is this Hiroshima property. Check in was very attentive and the room was very similar to Kyoto, except for the Kyoto property has nicer amenities and a larger selection of hot springs tubs, which is a real draw for us to choose this hotel group. It is lovely to go for a soak after taking in the somber sites of the A-Bomb of Hiroshima and the nearby activities (shopping street, Miyajima Island). We extended our visit for an additional night and I got a better rate on Booking.com than the hotel could offer me if I paid direct. They also have self-serve coffee and a delicious lemonade in the lobby, and their signature ramen in the later part of the evening. Very nice hotel concept and will recommend to friends also going to Japan. Overall, these amenities make the property feel more homey and there are a few things to enjoy without going out. They also have a shuttle to the Hiroshima station in the mornings which was extremely helpful.

United States of AmericaThe hotel is too far from the train station. I had to take the “Loop Bus” (numbered 101 or 102 from the train station), but unfortunately, the buses stop running at 7:55 in the evening— very early compared to all the other bus routes and tramways at the train station. Of course, this isn’t the fault of the hotel. I just found the schedule to be inconvenient. Also, as mentioned, I thought my room was too small for the price I was paying. The price I paid didn’t include breakfast or cleaning services, so I think the nightly rate is too high.
I didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel, so I cannot comment on that. Breakfast wasn’t even included in my price of the room even though I paid about $91 nightly which is rather high for these types of chain/onsen hotels in Japan. I did enjoy the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. One young lady even went out of her way to print out different maps for me to walk to various restaurants nearby. The room was very clean although very small as well. I liked the onsen on the rooftop floor but found it also a bit too small.

SingaporeWe initially had a room at the corner - which had a constant humming noise. The manager was very nice as he offered us a smaller room but with b’fast. As it turned out the b’fast was great and the room though smaller was efficiently designed and hence we did not feel it being much smaller. Service is great too. Would recommend coming to this property if you are in Hiroshima.

United KingdomThe only negative experience was finding out the free ice cream freezer was locked after midnight. No ice cream for me.
Very nice staff, we were able to store our suitcases before check in and after check out. The Onsen has 3 baths and one sauna with no additional cost to use. Really enjoyed staying at this very central hotel and would recommend to everyone!

SingaporeRoom was extremely spacious with comfortable bed. Staff was very helpful in preparing the luggage forwarding paperwork to my next hotel, as well as addressing ad-hoc requests such as providing information on the nearest JP post office/takkyubin office to forward parcels back home. Morning buffet offers a wide spread of Japanese options. Hotel facilities is generous with free onsen, ice creams, yoghurt drinks and late night ramen for supper at no added cost. There are also English-speaking staff available on hand for individuals who are unable to converse in Japanese, which is a value-add given that it is primarily a business hotel.

United States of AmericaIt is a little far from public transportation
The Annex location is on the "quiet" side of town but the bar district is just a street away. The hotel is a little difficult to get to from JR Hiroshima station, so be prepared to do some walking if you will be frequenting the station. There are plenty of convenience stores nearby and the room was very large by Japanese standards.

CanadaThe pillow was a little thin and firm for me personally.
We had an amazing stay at Dormy Inn Annex. We were able to securely drop off our luggage early. Then we explored the city and returned later to check in. Our luggage was waiting for us in our room. Very convenient! We loved the complimentary treats, such as coffee, lemonade, ice cream and ramen! There was also a welcome treat in our bedroom on arrival. There were plenty of toiletries to use if needed. The public bath was awesome! It had indoor and open air baths so it was nice to try both. We also used the free shuttle service to the JR station, which was very convenient with luggage! The room was spotless. I would absolutely stay here again!
