Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaConvenient to the trolley and public transportation. Easy to get around. Reception was on the top floor along with breakfast room. Breakfast was good with a mix of western and Japanese foods. Prosecco is available on weekends with breakfast. I would recommend it for travelers.

United States of AmericaThe elevator closed very suddenly on my right hand and caused significant pain with bruising and swelling even a week later. It was extremely dangerous.
Great location near to everything we wanted to see plus convention transport. Liked the idea of a rooftop cocktail hour but extremely disappointed in the selection of appetizers.

United KingdomI’m vegetarian so whilst the breakfast for meat and fish eaters looked amazing there was little choice for me. It was probably one of the worst hotels I stayed at for veggie breakfasts.
Good room size and great location - could walk everywhere but trams a couple of minutes walk away too. Love the afternoon tea and biscuits plus free alcohol.

AustraliaThe communal bath is nice, especially with the extra security for the womens section but note that it's not 100% tattoo friendly as they do ask you to cover them up with stickers (which they provide!), worth knowing if you have a lot of tattoos or have a sleeve. Theres also only 2 washing machines so make sure to get in early if you have a lot of laundry.
Perfect location for seeing hiroshima and miyajima as its close to heaps of bus and tram lines and shopping district (with the best okinomiyaki restaurants). The room is generously sized in comparison to hotels in tokyo and it was very clean with fresh towels provided on request. They have some free food/drink specials during the day in the dining area however we didnt make it to any of those but a nice touch!

CanadaNot sure if this is typical in Japan or just this hotel but I asked the staff to make a reservation at a restaurant for us (language being the biggest reason) and they said they don't do that. From my travel experience this is a given for a hotel to offer this service or helpout.
It was a very nice hotel. They had an evening drinks which was a nice touch especially since their lobby was on the top floor and you had a nice view.

FranceEverything was perfect!
This was the best hotel of our 3 week stay in Japan. We particularly liked the Happy Hour where many of the hotel guests congregated in the breakfast area to enjoy drinks and snacks with a view over the city. Breakfast itself was tremendous, such variety, and we once took advantage of the free coffee and biscuits mid-morning while our washing was being done. We would definitely recommend, and will look out for Intergate Hotels for our next Japan trip.

United KingdomWe had some trouble at checkout, they tried to charge us again even though we had already paid at check in. This was resolved only after we pressed them to check their records.
Perfectly fine stay. The freebies were a nice touch, free cocktails and snacks in the evening were a good way to end the day. Free pyjamas in the room too!

NetherlandsThe rooms aren't the newest but that doesn't impact the comfort of it. Nothing to complain about!
Nice quiet and comfortable room. Free tea and Happy Hour on the top floor with beautiful views on the city and the mountains. There is a public bath downstairs that we didn't have the time to try out but seemed nice.

AustraliaThe hotel offered quilts as all hotels do for bedding. These are too hot to sleep under. Hotels need to offer single sheets and light blankets as an option.
We did not use the breakfast service on offer, however snacks were available after hours which were very welcome. The room was compact with all the facilities we required. The staff were very helpful. The hotel was located within walking distance of the Peace Park and many reasonably priced restaurants. The room was very quiet and offered television with BBC and CNN in English.
